New German drama series “Dusty Faces” about Wehrmacht soldiers on the Eastern Front in WWII

Spread the love

The series “Dusty Faces” (https://dusty-faces.fandom.com/wiki/Dusty_Faces_Wiki) is said to be anti-war, and it is in a way, since there is no NS ideology or idealism, just men killing each other.

But it is very realistic. And the cinematography is superb.  Things are shot pretty tight, often in wooded locations — small-group skirmishes and attacks, mostly. The ‘up close’ viewpoint makes the weapons very visible, all the cool German stuff: MGs, MPs, 98s, and Panzerfausts,

I enjoyed scenes with the German machine gun MG 42, because I myself carried the US Army/Marine knockoff of this gun, the M60, which, however, actually had a slower rate of fire than “Hitler’s buzzsaw” did.

Getting a lift back to the front

Fear, horror and death, of course, seem much worse than they are when people have no belief in an afterlife. You feel your one short life (erroneous; you do NOT have just one life) was mostly shitty (actually, you incarnated to face the very challenges you are now experiencing so you can grow and create a better you and a better race) and then you “die,” often in great pain, or you as a soldier end the life of another poor chap.

In reality, war can 1) bring out great spiritual mastery , 2) achieve noble political goals, 3) wipe out the wicked, and 4) lead to beautiful acts of selfless heroism.

Then it is not just fear and gore.

As I watched six episodes of this basically excellent series, it hit me over and over how much LESS BAD the horror of war would be if soldiers knew the afterlife is real. For you and for the enemy you had to kill.

The dread soldiers feel of possible suffering and death, especially while waiting the final hours and minutes before the attack, would be 75% less.

There are also beautiful scenes where wounded German and Russian/Soviet soldiers acknowledge each other’s pain, humanity, and bravery.

In a number of scenes, Germans are shocked, upon shooting a Soviet soldier and then inspecting the body to ensure the enemy is dead, to find out the small, slightly built soldier was actually a girl. (The Soviets did deploy female infantry; the Germans never.)

Or Wehrmacht soldiers might show mercy, if possible, to Russian female soldiers, highly reluctant to shoot a girl.

There are also touching goodbyes at the train station back in Germany.

You can turn on English or other subtitles by clicking on the gear symbol at the lower right, going slightly up to subtitles, and then choosing your language.

After seeing this realistic series, I am more convinced than ever that we will win, because we will fight with a 100% certainty that our soul cannot be killed, and that to die for our race while wiping out filth –– degenerates and traitors who simply have to GO — is a truly beautiful thing for us to do at this time.

And it is tough love  toward the enemy, ending his life of crime. Now he cannot commit more crimes, which also are crimes against himself.

And all those who understand that excessive fear causes bad decision-making will grasp that a cool head, together with having a burning-hot heart, is the way we will win.

Note:

Dear John and Margi,

I hope you are both well and that the autumn colours are affording some solace in these most critical times before us. The very near future is ominous and foreboding, not least in appearance but fundamentally.

So may you continue with strength in your noble endeavours for our people and the Aryan soul. This is desperately needed as clean air is to breathe. Keep safe and well.

Kind regards…
