When I was six me and my brother were running around Home Depot out of sight of my dad. He kept telling us not to runaway but we didn’t listen. Then he said something to my brother that I’ll never forget “Someone is going to take you home and skin you alive!” I never fucked around like that again.
[Saying] “STRANGER DANGER” DOES NOT WORK. Children in general are trusting. Every day they meet strangers, whether it’s adults at school or daycare, or even friends of their parents [whom] they have not seen before. That’s why you can’t take your eyes off your children when in public.
