I recently had a lengthy chat with a good friend of mine who I can only describe as someone “deep inside” the Republican Party.
.
One of the main topics we talked extensively about was what the media refer to as the “Capitol insurrection” and the “Trump-incited coup”.
.
My traditionally patriotic buddy’s take on the January 6 march on the Citadel of Satan (the Capitol) was so oddly similar to mine – SO much so in fact, that I felt we both might be onto something.
.
In his opinion, the march on the Capitol had more in common with “kids playing a bad video game with no ending or point” (he’s still in his twenties) than an actual insurrection. In my estimation, the incident was more akin to a high school or college pep rally gone horribly wrong, rather than a coup.
.
I likened the “Capitol insurrection” to the time I celebrated my university basketball team’s qualification to the NCAA Division One basketball finals with thousands of screaming impassioned FANS (yes sports fans) some two decades ago!!
.
Some of us climbed lamp posts (I watched and drank beer), others sporting team uniforms jumped from balconies (90’s style crowd surfing), some smashed bottles over their heads (there was a lot of blood) and a few of the most impassioned revelers sparred with one another and the cops, tasked with keeping things from getting out of hand.
.
In fact, I’d say the university’s march on Stevens Street (the actual name’s been changed to protect my anonymity) – the road that housed the bars students frequented on nights out – was FAR more destructive!
.
Sure, the rhetoric of the impassioned protesters in DC was revolutionary in nature, but were their actions?
.
A few in the crowd chanted “Hang Mike Pence”, just as they had chanted “Lock her up” when shouting about KILLary Clinton – someone with actual blood on her hands – during the run-up to the 2016 General Election, but from what I can tell, the Clintons are still free to promote war, incite hatred and plunder the planet.
.
….and NO ONE has hung traitor, Pence.
.
Someone in the crowd erected a Halloween version of a gibbet – as if they intended to do as the Jacobins did in France at the conclusion of the 19th century with the prop – and string up our Marie Antoinette Pelosi.
.
Others shouted “The end is coming,” while charlatans like Alex Jones and others capitalizing on our collective misery, guaranteed that “1776 (2.0) will commence again.”
.
All of that though resulted in much ado about nothing – to quote William Shakespeare.
.
There was a bit of shattered glass, a few souvenirs taken, but that was the extent of it.
.
After being let in, the “insurrectionists” milled about the place a bit, became bored with it all, and then departed.
.
And where were the guns both the Left warn us about and the right boast about??
.
For all intents and purposes, the single-most, heavily armed civilian population on earth came unarmed.
.
It was more 4th of July Alabama BBQ than coup!
.
The Leftist scum that protested against Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, in 2018 came “heavier” and with worse manners!
.
From what I saw, it can only be described as the 2021 Twitter version of a coup.
.
There were cameras instead of guns, selfies instead of shots fired, banners bought on Ali Express and eBay instead of hand woven flags, and as many women as men. In fact, one of the only protesters on the day that dared to try and enter the Citadel of Satan’s inner sanctum – and one of the bravest ones on hand – was a woman and former soldier.
.
Then there was the average age of the participants. Compared to the patriots that fought the Redcoats in 1776 who were between 15 and 28 for the most part, the 2021 “mob” were much older.
.
Nothing wrong with being in one’s fifties, sixties and seventies, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find all that many Seniors eager to throw the remainder of their lives away for an IMPOSSIBLE shot at overthrowing the American government.
.
After all, with age comes wisdom, forethought and an understanding that coups – like the sort of trip you’d make to Home Depot before starting work on a new deck – need planning.
.
Older people have too much to lose, have a cushy, happy life awaiting them upon their return home – not to mention a return airline ticket and a half-drunk bottle of good whisky sitting atop their nightstand back at the three-star hotel room they’d crashed in the night before.
.
Again I am not trashing these people – as their hearts were in the right place and they did FAR FAR MORE than most of Americans did on the day – but this, my friends, was no coup.
.
It was at best a momentary lapse in reason driven by passion, at worst an exploitative and entirely orchestrated charade, aimed at seizing the last remaining civil liberties we have on our books.
.
It is after all, as everyone of us have since noticed, being used to permanently lock down DC, build walls around the government, and is PRE-EMPTIVELY being exploited to shield the government from any real protest and criticism.
.
What it was not, was a coup.
.
After all, as my friend commented, “most of the people who entered the Capitol that day, simply waltzed through an open door and took some selfies.”

–15 December 2020, from a long-term and generous Australian donor: 50 Australian dollars; a letter about the US 2020 election; a beautiful Christmas card with a springer spaniel; and a photocopy from a book about Quetzalcoatl — the mysterious, benevolent, blond, bearded white man who founded Ancient Mexico (I will blog next on this gift.)
Qzetzalcoatl may have initially worn a space suit and helmet for breathing in our atmosphere, and for practical reasons had no beard. Later, it seems he adapted to our air, tossed the suit and helmet, and grew his beard out, a hirsute feature of adult white males which astonished the beardless Amerindians.
Interesting how Quetzalcoatl just up and left one day.
Sometimes one gets soooo tired of peoples’ slow progress. In Conversations with God, the Creator says to author Neil Donald Walsch, to his shock, that he has already had HUNDREDS of lives…
Why?
Most people never get a grip on their own mind, and thus barely inch forward a few inches in each incarnation like a lazy snail. 😉

The leaders of the Oath Keepers (Thomas Caldwell) and the Proud Boys (Enrique Tarrio) are both FBI agents, and the Oath Keepers leader, Thomas Caldwell, organized the violence at the U.S. Capital on 1/6/2021:

“Move along citizen – nothing to see here!”
Yes, most of the “insurrectionists” in the Capitol “insurrection” looked as if they were on a museum tour. Makes me want to vomit anytime I hear someone calling that an insurrection attempt and I heard that a lot, basically anytime I took a quick peek at the vile, controlled mainstream news. What a joke.
They also make it seem that everyone is dumb enough to believe that. I wonder what percentage really does? Probably 50% do which would mean Mike Adams is correct, that half of americans are clinically insane or just plum stupid as a rock.
Some genuinely stupid, yes, and others just mentally lazy, unwilling to think, and, as my dad would say, “use the mind God gave you.”
