Adolf Hitler gets full credit for the greatness of his movement and his Reich.
But as absolute rule of Germany, he also bears full blame for the disastrous anti-Russian-people policy that lost the war. Many officers protested against it, Himmler referred to it as a a good thing in his Posen speech in October 1943, and the Führer did not listen. He was not a god, just a very great and good man.

Heart in the wrong place
It is basically wrong for us to project our whole harmless soul and heart, all our good nature, our idealism, onto foreign peoples. This applies to Herder, who wrote the “Voices of the Peoples”, probably in a drunken hour, and caused us, in later generations, such boundless suffering and misery. That applies to the Czechs and Slovenes, to whom, after all, we brought their national feeling. They themselves were absolutely incapable of it; rather, we invented it for them.
For the SS Man, one principle must apply absolutely: we must be honest, decent, loyal, and comradely to members of our own blood, and to no one else. What happens to the Russians, the Czechs, is totally indifferent to me. Whatever is available to us in good blood of our type, we will take for ourselves, that is, we will steal their children and bring them up with us, if necessary. Whether other races live well or die of hunger is only of interest to me insofar as we need them as slaves for our culture; otherwise that doesn’t interest me. Whether 10,000 Russian women fall down from exhaustion in building a tank ditch is of interest to me only insofar as the tank ditches are finished for Germany.
We will never be hard and heartless when it is not necessary; that is clear. We Germans, the only ones in the world with a decent attitude towards animals, will also adopt a decent attitude with regards to these human animals; but it is a sin against our own blood to worry about them and give them ideals, so that our sons and grandchildren will have a harder time with them.

The video was fantastic.
All I can say for Heinrich Himmler is that after the war he probably had more bad karma to work off than not.
The one thing I find wrong with ideas like those expressed about Slavs is they rely too much on assumptions about people, without taking into account several truths about human nature, and a full study of history.
What really jumped out at me is the mental gymnastics he engages in. On the one hand, he lists the select few historical notables from Russian territory who are well known to the world. Then Himmler ignores the fact that the great leaps in human history are not made by the masses, but by very special individuals from almost all peoples. I could easily go through German history, and pick out the well-known individuals who are in the history books, and then compare that with the millions of Germans who lived their lives and did nothing significant.
I think he was blinded by the fact that Hitler was so successful in inspiring Germans to be more than what they were, both on an individual basis and as a people.
But of course that took about 10 to 15 years of him delivering an uplifting message, and they finally listened.
Plus, if the goal had been one of liberating the people of Russia, instead of trying to take that land for German use, the whole entire approach to the war would have gone very different.
Anyway, no use in trying to re-do the events of +/- 75 years ago. Different time and place. The lessons learned were valuable, and we should learn from the bad and treasure the good, but we need to move onward and upward.
