Comparing Trudeau and Putin

“Justin Trudeau is a mascot of everything that is wrong with the world today. From being at the forefront of encouraging every degeneracy to welcoming radicalism into his homeland, from cheap gimmicks of tokenism to attempts at creating a culture of politically correct absurdities, the stink of his leftist hypocrisy wafts far and wide. As citizen of India, I could not care less if the elected leader of Canada seeks to drive his nation to the dumps. But where it has an adverse effect on my country is where I choose to draw the line.” ~ Columnist Ajit Datta of India, February 2018.

….President Xi on President Putin

Putin became the first foreign leader to receive one of the highest awards of China, the Order of Friendship. Putin came to China on June 8, where he met his counterpart Xi Jingping, and later took part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation SCO summit.

BEIJING (Reuters) – Chinese President Xi Jinping gave visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin China’s first friendship medal on Friday, calling him his best friend, underscoring the close ties between the two despite deep reservations many Western nations have of Putin. Putin is in China for a weekend summit of the Chinese and Russian-led security bloc the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in the port city of Qingdao, but dropped by Beijing first for talks with Xi.

Meeting in Beijing’s Great Hall of the People, Xi lauded their relationship.

“No matter what fluctuations there are in the international situation, China and Russia have always firmly taken the development of relations as a priority,” Xi told Putin at the start of their formal talks.

Xi then awarded Putin China’s first ever friendship medal, on a large gold colored chain, an event carried live on state television.

Xi, speaking just before he put the medal on Putin, called him a “good and old friend of the Chinese people”.

“President Putin is the leader of a great country who is influential around the world,” Xi said. “He is my best, most intimate friend.”

The two oversaw the signing of several agreements, including a joint $1 billion industrial investment fund.

Xi promised the two would continue to deepen their coordination on the world stage.

“China and Russia are permanent members of the U.N. Security Council and are both great responsible countries,” Xi said.

“Myself and President Putin agreed, in the face of a complex international situation, that China and Russia will increase mutual support and coordination in international affairs, and deepen strategic cooperation.”

Putin offered his thanks for the medal.

“I see this as an acknowledgement and an evaluation of Russia’s efforts to develop a comprehensive strategic partnership with China,” he said.

“This is an indication of the special attention and respect on which our mutual national interests are based, the interests of our peoples, and, of course, our personal friendship.”

This is a true friendship. Putin always acts like a gentleman, not a sissy like France’s president Macron, who was kissing all over Trump.

Though it’s attractive in general, liberalism has overreached on multiple issues, such as immigration, and is now “devouring itself,” Vladimir Putin said, just days after he’d suggested that the ideology has failed Western societies.

iberalism still remains “multifaceted” and there’s no need to be arguing about its overall attractiveness, the Russian president told reporters on Saturday, during a final press conference at the G20 summit in Japan. In the meantime, the philosophy has its own setbacks, he pointed out.

The liberal ideal has started to devour itself

In Putin’s view, liberal approaches to immigration is a real problem. “In some European countries, parents are told that girls should not wear skirts at schools,” he asserted, adding that “people are living in their own country … why has it come to that?”

His latest remarks summed up what he’d told the Financial Times in a much-talked-about interview this week. Speaking to FT’s Lionel Barber and Henry Foy, he called liberalism “obsolete” and said it has now come into conflict “with the interests of the overwhelming majority of the population.”

Relations between Moscow and Washington shouldn’t resemble cowboy movies with their on-the-hoof deal-striking, the Kremlin press secretary said. They should be based on respect for mutual interests and aimed at specific results.

“‘Deals’ is cowboy movie-style terminology,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Peskov said, responding to a question about the prospects for Russia-US bilateral ties. The reporter for Rossiya 1 channel wanted to know if a “big deal” was in store for the two countries in the near future. Peskov said the very term didn’t appeal to the Russian government in the least.

  1. In regard to the alleged fire on the Russian submarine, Putin is not rushing into action. The US has a harmful history of shadowing Russ subs too closely. But what is important right now is that there is confusion in what is being reported about where this tragedy happened. It occurred in the Barents Sea, Russian-Norwegian waters. It did not occur in the Bering Sea, Russian-Alaskan waters. If an American (Israeli) sub were involved, it would have been there as an intruder in Russian waters. It is likely that performance trials had been scheduled for the benefit of all the high ranking officers on board. Too coincidental that the tragedy occurred while they were on board. The new Russian subs are apparently very advanced for underwater capabilities. The deaths seem more like planned assassinations of commanders who would have been the new subs’ captains. Putin has been horribly taunted in so many ways to get him to do the first strike. He may not be who he seems to be, but he is at least patient to a point.

    • I understand that the source is highly questionable for being true. It is a fact that the US Military has been aggressively antagonizing Putin to get him to start a nuclear war by attacking first. Even if this report is not factual.
