I agree that the Civil War did enormous harm to our nation, and like you I hold Lincoln very responsible. I also agree with your other stated complaints about him. But I don’t think you have provided sufficient evidence for the claim that he fought the war to make citizens of the Blacks. I think there is even very strong evidence to the contrary. Regarding the motives of the Southerners who killed them, usually when something of great political import happens there is a real objective involved. If they killed because they were angry there is no objective being accomplished. I think there must have been something besides anger involved, even if the actors didn’t know what this was.
I understand but, having lived down South for 20 years — Virginia, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, and both Carolinas — they are a hot-tempered people with a lot of keltic genes. The Yankee army found out these men will fight.

As for Trump, I think they have several things on him that are not at the truly vicious level of a snuff film (!) or sex with a little kid. I just do not see him as being THAT evil. And I was a victim of pedophiles so I am very aware of this issue, and feel zero forgiveness for that crime. Trump is outrageously vain, yes; fibbing, always; but a true monster — I just do not see or feel that.
