Expats march against SA crime in London
May 15 2010 LONDON UK – Participants in today’s peaceful London protest march against the out-of-control violent
crime epidemic in South Africa said there were ‘quite a few journalists’ covering the march at the South African embassy in Trafalgar Square in London on May 15 2010. There also was a police presence but there were no incidents of violence and no arrests were made.
The protestors first met at the Eros statue in Piccadilly circus – and as they started emerging from the tube-station exit they started catching the eye of the many webcam operators because of their bright-red t-shrits..
Despite fears by some participants that ‘right-wing posters’ would also be displayed – there were none. Many people carried white crosses with their own personal messages on them, other carried hand-made banners and posters.
One female protestor wrote that there “were some elements who tried to taunt us but we didn’t bite.
Why are your people being murdered like that?
“Things remained peaceful, although, “ – she added that when she was questioned by a female journalist she got ‘pretty hot under the collar. “Especially when the journalist asked me why I thought we were being murdered like that; whether I knew the people on my placard, where I got the pictures and whether I would ever go home again?”
“I replied that ‘of course I will go home, it’s my country and the land of my forefathers and we developed it. The journalist said she could see I was upset about all the events and I replied: “of course, wouldn’t you have been upset too? Our women, children and elderly are being targetted, these are defenceless, frail human beings who cannot defend themselves. Groups of attackers numbering as many as 15 men descend on them, gang-rape them, torture them until they’re dead…How can one remain calm under those circumstances, especially because the government does nothing to stop it.?

Recently on Friday April 30, I had Roger Christie on my show. See Hemp as a religion & http://www.thc-ministry.org/ . My son, Trevor, joined that church while he was going to college in Hawaii. He used as his argument after getting a ticket in Colorado for possession, that Marijuana was a sacrament and that it was a violation of his First Amendment rights. I joined this church, was ordained and am in the process of starting a branch here. I am creating a site for the THC Ministries of Arizona. I am also pursuing my Masters Degree in Divinity at Timothy Bible College.
Trevor was told that if he went to a doctor and got a prescription, he could possess it in Colorado without the risk of getting a ticket or getting busted with it in Colorado. His response was, “But I am not sick!”
I agree. But as soon as I came out in the open about this, my so-called Christian friends started behaving as though I was going against the Bible and began distancing themselves from me. I speak on this subject from 40 years of experience and research. To me, Marijuana is a preventive, holistic alternative to the Medical Tyranny and it is part of the reason I rarely go to a doctor and why I never use prescription medication.
Evidence shows that Cannabis was part of the oil that Jesus was anointed with. Messiah means the “Anointed One”. Some of my “friends” even tried to deny that marijuana was the same plant as Hemp. They tried to say that someone like Monsanto created it as a hybrid. Sorry. Producing Marijuana from hemp is simply a matter of cultivation with love and care. Monsanto did not exist when our first President, George Washington, told us to, “Sow it everywhere”!
This reaction was coming from so-called Patriots who were upset about the Massacre in Waco. The Patriots outraged by the manipulation of our currency and control by the International Banksters behind the Federal Reserve. These Patriots were outraged by the incarceration of people like Lynne Meredith, Irwin Schiff, Ernst Zundel, Mark Koernke, Fritz Springmeier and Ed and Elaine Brown on bogus tax or conspiracy charges, but turned a blind eye to the millions of Americans incarcerated and put into the corrupt system for using a plant that God gave us.
They tried to do that to us Patriots for starting the Militias and they are doing that now! There is no difference here. This is a demonization of anything and everyone who does not want to be a slave to the system.
The ADL and SPLC demonized me for starting the Militia and the Free American Magazine. The DHS “Assessment” included in my book, “Mystery Babylon” did the same thing to Christian Identity and the Militia, completely ignoring the First and Second Amendments.
Chuck Baldwin tells us, “With much media fanfare, 9 members of a Michigan militia were arrested last March and charged with “seditious conspiracy”–specifically, plotting to murder law enforcement officers. Ostensibly, this was supposed to precipitate some kind of wholesale revolt against the government.
Question: Have any of you heard anyone from the propaganda press corps (national news media) tell you what has been happening with this case? No? Did you not wonder why? Well, I’ll tell you why: the case has fallen apart.”
The first indication of the Feds’ case going bad was a local report in the Toledo (Ohio) Blade, dated April 28, 2010. “An FBI agent who led the investigation of nine Michigan militia members charged with trying to launch war against the federal government couldn’t recall many details of the two-year probe yesterday during questioning by defense lawyers.
“Even the judge who must decide whether to release the nine until trial was puzzled.
“‘I share the frustrations of the defense team . . . that she doesn’t know anything,’ U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts said after agent Leslie Larsen confessed she hadn’t reviewed her notes recently and couldn’t remember specific details of the case.”
So why would Patriots and Christians ignore Genesis 1:29 “And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.”?

Ron Paul Hopes Hemp History Week Will Reap More Co-sponsors for Legalization Bill

Roll Call reports, “Hemp History Week might not earn anyone time off work, but Rep. Ron Paul still thinks it’s worth celebrating.”
The Texas Republican and erstwhile presidential candidate on Thursday submitted a statement to the Congressional Record recognizing next week, May 17-23, as Hemp History Week and urging his colleagues to pass legislation legalizing hemp farming. In the statement, which hemp advocates are touting as a big endorsement for their cause, Paul notes that Thomas Jefferson and George Washington both grew the leafy crop.
Paul’s arguments focused on the potential economic effect of legalizing hemp — probably making for a stronger case than the beauty of those hemp necklaces found on the necks of half the attendees of any given Widespread Panic concert. “Unfortunately, because of a federal policy that does not distinguish between growing industrial hemp and growing marijuana, all hemp products and materials must be imported,” Paul said. “The result is high prices, outsourced jobs, and lost opportunities for American manufacturing.”
A post at VoteHemp.com details activists’ plans for the week: “A joint project of Vote Hemp and the Hemp Industries Association, Hemp History Week is looking for patriotic Americans to participate in and attend events in their state as part of a national grassroots, media and public education campaign.”
Vote Hemp is a national, single-issue, non-profit advocacy group founded in 2000 by members of the hemp industry to remove barriers to industrial hemp farming in the U.S. through education, legislation and advocacy. We work to build grassroots support for hemp through voter education, registration and mobilization, as well as defend against any new laws, regulations or policies that would prohibit or restrict hemp trade.
Industrial hemp is the non-psychoactive, low-THC, oilseed and fiber varieties of the Cannabis sativa plant. Hemp has absolutely no use as a recreational drug.
The groups “hope to collect at least 50,000 signed post cards urging President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to end the status quo and let farmers grow versatile and profitable industrial hemp.”
“Madam Speaker, I rise to speak about Hemp History Week,” Paul said last week on the floor. “To celebrate the American heritage of growing industrial hemp, the Hemp Industries Association, Vote Hemp, several American manufacturers, and allied companies and organizations have declared May 17 to May 23 to be Hemp History Week. Throughout the week, people will recognize America’s legacy of industrial hemp farming and call for reinstating respect for farmers’ basic right to grow industrial hemp.”
Industrial hemp was legally grown throughout our country for many years. In fact, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson grew industrial hemp and used it to make cloth. During World War II, the federal government encouraged American farmers to grow hemp to help the war effort.
Despite industrial hemp farming being an important part of American history, the federal government has banned cultivation of this crop. In every other industrialized country, industrial hemp, defined to contain less than 0.3 percent THC–the psychoactive chemical found in marijuana, may be legally grown. Nobody can be psychologically affected by consuming industrial hemp. Unfortunately, because of a federal policy that does not distinguish between growing industrial hemp and growing marijuana, all hemp products and materials must be imported. The result is high prices, outsourced jobs, and lost opportunities for American manufacturing.
Reintroducing industrial hemp farming in the United States would bring jobs to communities struggling in today’s economy, provide American farmers with another crop alternative, and encourage the development of hemp processing factories near American hemp farming.
Paul noted that he introduced his Industrial Hemp Farming Act (HR 1866) [To amend the Controlled Substances Act to exclude industrial hemp from the definition of marihuana, and for other purposes.], “five years ago to end the federal government’s ban on American farmers growing industrial hemp.”

Last April, RAW STORY’s Stephen Webster reported, “The legislation, if passed by the House and Senate, would amend the Controlled Substances act and overturn a portion of the 1937 Marihuana Tax Act which decimated America’s industrial hemp industry by simply lumping the plant in with its high-inducing counterpart, marijuana.”
Jack Herer, as the LA Times noted last month, “was a longtime marijuana activist and the author of the landmark book ‘The Emperor Wears No Clothes: The Authoritative Historical Record of Cannabis and the Conspiracy Against Marijuana.'” He passed away on April 15, at the age of 70, still ill “following a heart attack he experienced after leaving the Hempstalk festival stage in Portland last fall.”

Politicians, bureaucrats and especially judges would have you believe that too much freedom will result in chaos. Therefore, we should gladly give up some RIGHTS for the good of the community. In other words, people acting in the name of government, say we need more laws and more JURORS to enforce these laws – even if we have to give up some more RIGHTS in the process. They believe the more laws we have, the more control, thus a better society. This theory may sound good on paper, and apparently many of our ‘leaders’ think this way, as evidenced by the thousands of new laws that are added to the books each year in this country. But, no matter how cleverly this Marxist argument is made, the hard fact is that whenever you give up a RIGHT you lose a “FREE CHOICE”!
This adds another control. Control’s real name is BONDAGE! The logical conclusion would be, if giving up some RIGHTS, produces a better society, then by giving up all RIGHTS we could produce the perfect society. We could chain everybody to a tree, for lack of TRUST. This may prevent a crime, but it would destroy PRIVACY, which is the heartbeat of FREEDOM! It would also destroy TRUST which is the foundation for DIGNITY. Rather than giving up RIGHTS, we shoud be giving up wrongs! The opposite of control is not chaos. More laws do not make less criminals! We must give up wrongs, not rights, for a better society! William Penn of the British House of Commons, once proclaimed, “Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human liberty; it is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.”

I say, God bless Ron Paul for introducing HR 1866 (Industrial Hemp Farming Act) on the House floor, and 21 fellow House members (both Republican and Democrat) for co-sponsoring this extremely important legislation. I also say God bless Ron Paul and others for setting aside the week of May 17-23 for Hemp History Week.
The fact that industrial hemp was being farmed as late as WWII with the blessings of FDR makes the case for bringing it back even stronger, given the 10% unemployment rate nationwide. So, instead of worrying about the jobless rate (and, thus, the entire economy), Congress must act on Ron Paul’s legislation re-legalizing industrial hemp.
