John D. NugentI remember when I was at Georgetown in 1981, doing the pre-med program to get into medical school. I ended up chatting with a cute black girl who also was in the program. I told her I had to get at least an A- average in chemistry, physics and calculus to get in. She replied, with a tinge of embarrassment (as God is my witness): “They told me as a black female I needed a C+.” Well, I hope if I am someday in critical condition, I do not get a C+ doctor!;-)
