…..German POW mail without postage arrives in my mail box
Letter from a German comrade to me using the post-WWII free mail arrangement for German POWs. and why not? Germany and the US are still technically at war, and the US has 50K troops there. There is no peace treaty, and the NSA spies on Germany more than any other country on earth. (Btw, the address is outdated: my current one is POB 43, Apollo PA 15613)
Transcription:
Dear John,
Thanks for your great work! I am a German prisoner of war still detained in the British Zone, Westphalia, Prussia! We — and the entire world — need and want finally a peace treaty!!
Germany is still occupied since May 8, 1945. Please call your Congress for the peace treaty!

All that happened on May 8, 1945 was the German military laid their arms down. In this photo, a general of the Luftwaffe and the Army and an admiral from the German navy prepare to sign the capitulation. But the German government never surrendered or signed anything turning power over to the Allies.
So the country of Germany is still in a state of war with the United States (as with North Korea, btw, with whom there is only an armistice, a cessation of fighting.)
To this day, even young Germans are asked on a tourist visa card they have to fill out on the plane before they land at a US airport if they were members of the SS! I know this, because a German au pair girl named Maiga, who helped us in the 1980s with our two daughters, found this out to her own shock.

Here Maiga was, a female born 22 years after the war, being asked if she had been a soldier in the SS!

…..the biggest reason there is no peace treaty with Germany
Because in 1945 the Reich’s top scientists and elite units evacuated to the Antarctic, to the Andes mountains and to under-ocean bases! The war never ended! The German Reich still exists! (The German scientists such as Wernher von Braun who went to America under “Operation Paperclip” were NOT the top scientists! The top scientists were working on anti-gravity, flying saucers, time travel, and laser weapons.)
