Third of Americans suspect 9-11 government conspiracy

More than a third of the American public suspects that federal officials assisted in the 9/11 terrorist attacks or took no action to stop them so the United States could go to war in the Middle East, according to a new Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll.
The national survey of 1,010 adults also found that anger against the federal government is at record levels, with 54 percent saying they “personally are more angry” at the government than they used to be.
Widespread resentment and alienation toward the national government appears to be fueling a growing acceptance of conspiracy theories about the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
[JdN: There’s that phrase again, “conspiracy theories“…… The most sinister conspiracy of all in America is the Establishment pontificating to people that there are no conspiracies out there!]
Suspicions that the 9/11 attacks were “an inside job” –the common phrase used by conspiracy theorists on the Internet — quickly have become nearly as popular as decades-old conspiracy theories that the federal government was responsible for President John F. Kennedy’s assassination and that it has covered up proof of space aliens.
[JdN: Vox populi, vox Dei. “The voice of the people is the voice of God.” The theory that Oswald shot Kennedy is itself a nutty and ludicrous conspiracy theory peddled by a government and media that have lied to us about literally everything else under the sun. And as for aliens, to list just one instance, the entire city of Phoenix, Arizona saw a gigantic aircraft cover the whole night sky, and the History Channel discussed it in huge detail with numerous eyewitness accounts by stable, average, sincere Americans. I and millions of Americans, and Japanese, and Belgians, and Iranians, and Mexicans (right in the capital, Mexico City!!) , have seen unexplainable objects that do not move like any plane, jet or helicopter our civilization is known to have.]
Seventy percent of people who give credence to these theories also say they’ve become angrier with the federal government than they used to be.Thirty-six percent of respondents overall said it is “very likely” or “somewhat likely” that federal officials either participated in the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon or took no action to stop them “because they wanted the United States to go to war in the Middle East.”

“One out of three sounds high, but that may very well be right,” said Lee Hamilton, former vice chairman of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (also called the 9/11 commission.) His congressionally appointed investigation concluded that federal officials bungled their attempts to prevent, but did not participate in, the attacks by al Qaeda five years ago.
“A lot of people I’ve encountered believe the U.S. government was involved,” Hamilton said. “Many say the government planned the whole thing. Of course, we don’t think the evidence leads that way at all.”
The poll also found that 16 percent of Americans speculate that secretly planted explosives, not burning passenger jets, were the real reason the massive twin towers of the World Trade Center collapsed.
Conspiracy groups for at least two years have also questioned why the World Trade Center collapsed when fires that heavily damaged similar skyscrapers around the world did not cause such destruction. Sixteen percent said it’s “very likely” or “somewhat likely” that “the collapse of the twin towers in New York was aided by explosives secretly planted in the two buildings.”
Twelve percent suspect the Pentagon was struck by a military cruise missile in 2001 rather than by an airliner captured by terrorists.
hat lower percentage may result from an effort by the conservative Washington-based Judicial Watch advocacy group to debunk the claim. The group filed claims under the Freedom of Information Act and got two fill loops released from Pentagon security cameras.
“Some people claim they can’t see anything, but I see a plane hitting the Pentagon at incredibly high speed,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “I see the nose of the plane clearly entering the frame of one video and the tail of the plane entering the Pentagon in the other video.”
Many conspiracy Web sites have posted the video loops and report the films are inconclusive or were manipulated by the government.
“Some folks will never be convinced,” Fitton said. “But I’m hoping that these videos will dissuade reasonable people from falling into a trap with these conspiracy theories.”
University of Florida law professor Mark Fenster, author of the book Conspiracy Theories: Secrecy and Power in American Culture, said the poll’s findings reflect public anger at the unpopular Iraq war, realization that Saddam Hussein did not have weapons of mass destruction and growing doubts of the veracity of the Bush administration.
“What has amazed me is not that there are conspiracy theories, but that they didn’t seem to be getting any purchase among the American public until the last year or so,” Fenster said. “Although the Iraq war was not directly related to the 9/11 attacks, people are now looking back at 9/11 with much more skepticism than they used to.”

Conspiracy-believing participants in the poll agree their suspicions are recent.
“I certainly didn’t think of conspiracies when 9/11 first happened,” said Elaine Tripp, 62, of Tabernacle, N.J. “I don’t know if President Bush was aware of the exact time it was going to happen. But he certainly didn’t do enough to stop it. Bush was so intent on having his own little war.”
Garrett Johnson, 19, of Manassas, Va., said it was “well after the fact” before he started questioning the official explanation of the attacks. “But then people I know started talking about it. And the Internet had a lot to do with this. After reading all of the different articles there, I started to think we weren’t being told the truth.”

The Scripps Survey Research Center at Ohio University has tracked the level of resentment people feel toward the federal government since 1995, starting shortly after Timothy McVeigh bombed the federal building in Oklahoma City. Forty-seven percent then said they, personally, feel “more angry at the federal government” than they used to. That percentage dropped to 42 percent in 1997, 34 percent in 1998 and only 12 percent shortly after 9/11 during the groundswell of patriotism and support for the government after the attacks.
But the new survey found that 77 percent say their friends and acquaintances have become angrier with government recently and 54 percent say they, themselves, have become angrier _ both record levels.
The survey also found that people who regularly use the Internet but who do not regularly use so-called “mainstream” media are significantly more likely to believe in 9/11 conspiracies. People who regularly read daily newspapers or listen to radio newscasts were especially unlikely to believe in the conspiracies.
“We know that there are a lot of people now asking questions,” said Janice Matthews, executive director of 911Truth.org, one of the most sophisticated Internet sites raising doubts about official explanations of the attacks. “We didn’t have the Internet after Pearl Harbor, the Gulf of Tonkin or the Kennedy assassination. But we live in different times now.”
Matthews’ Web site averaged 4,000 “hits” a day last year, but currently has at least 12,000 visits every 24 hours. The site, according to its online policy statement, is dedicated to showing the public that “elements within the U.S. government must have orchestrated or participated in the execution of the attacks for these to have happened the way in which they did.”
Participants in the poll were asked to respond to “several serious accusations that some people have made against the federal government in recent years.” Five conspiracy theories were described and participants were asked if each was “very likely, somewhat likely or unlikely.”
The level of suspicion of U.S. official involvement in a 9/11 conspiracy was only slightly behind the 40 percent who suspect “officials in the federal government were directly responsible for the assassination of President Kennedy” and the 38 percent who believe “the federal government is withholding proof of the existence of intelligent life from other planets.”
The poll found that a majority of young adults give at least some credence to a 9/11 conspiracy compared to less than a fourth of people 65 or older. Members of racial and ethnic minorities, people with only a high school education and Democrats were especially likely to suspect federal involvement in 9/11.
The survey was conducted by telephone from July 6-24 at the Scripps Survey Research Center at the University of Ohio under a grant from the Scripps Howard Foundation. The poll has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.

It is not just 9/11 awareness. It is the avalanche of black and brown and yellow faces on our streets.
Thirty-one years ago, I asked Matt Koehl, head of the then National Socialist White People’s Party (which had been founded under that specific name in 1967 by the famous former US Navy commander George Lincoln Rockwell ) when he thought that Whites would start to seriously wake up.
He replied without hesitation, and I think with great perception:
In America today it’s all about minorities. When Whites themselves BECOME a minority, then they will start to think and organize like a minority to protect their interests.”
The late “Birdman” (John) Bryant was another perceptive comrade. He once said that in the 1960s the white man was the BIG WHITE DOG, like a huge white husky with little dark chihuahuas and poodles and chow-chows yapping at his heels. He “knew” he was dominant, the alpha dog in the pack and so he could afford to be generous. Let the blacks have the vote, and social programs and their Martin Luther King holiday.
The little dogs could have some of his bones and dog food and race around and yap away. It would never challenge the big white dog…..
But now those little dogs are big dogs. There’s a BIG Mexican dog, a big black dog, and a big yellow-furred dog. There’s also a conniving little ankle biter who incites the other dogs to take nips at him. The big white dog is also aging relative to the other dogs, who on average are younger.
He looks around now…..and sees that his situation has fundamentally changed, and the once-friendly little dogs have now BARED their TEETH. Now either he will bare his teeth too, and chomp on his closest challenger as a lesson to the others that he is still dominant —- or they will all fall on him, and then begin tearing each other to shreds to establish who the NEW alpha dog will be. Thanks for your messages. I agree with Thomas Carlyle that only when the best of a religion is carried over to a new one does the old faith in its old form fade away, not God fade away, but that particular form of faith in Him.
For me the key is JESUS, and His message of love, courage, responsibility (“feed my sheep”), self-sacrifice, truth and the fight against greedy materialism.
Bishop Marcion, who totally rejected the Old Testament, may indeed have been ruled a heretic, but that is the decision of an institution that has proved to be all too human. The personal relationship with Jesus Christ remains.
I seriously am convinced that Saul hijacked Christianity. He was unquestionably a Sanhedrin official, was involved with the stoning of Stephen, and was traveling about organizing persecutions of Christians by his own admission. Further, he was also the only “witness” (we know all about juish “witnesses”…..) to his supposed “vision of Christ on the road to Damascus.” Then he goes to Jerusalem and makes himself into an apostle!
Most seriously of all, his Epistle to the Romans stands in direct combat against the three-parable message of Jesus in Matthew 21: 28-43 that the juze are utterly rejected by God for rejecting His Son, with no second chance offered by Jesus and (John 8:44) their true god is Satan.
What Jesus says here is totally contradicted by the nervy self-made apostle Saul! Matthew 21:43:
“The Kingdom of God will be taken from you [from the evil vinedressers after killing the master’s son] and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.”
The very physical appearance of these people lends credence to the assertions of Marcion that this people is the Devil’s own, which Hitler also said in Mein Kampf.
Media baron S.I. Newhouse, whose puppet paper The New Orleans Times-Picayune savaged David Duke when he was running for office. Duke often won the majority of white votes but was defeated by a coalition of brain-dead whites, juze, queers and blacks. Newhouse printed with relish coordinated threats by Wall Street not to buy any bonds from the State of Louisiana and by the American Medical Association to boycott all conventions in the city of New Orleans if the voters chose the man they really wanted, David Duke. It was pure economic terrorism by this reptilian-looking apiru. One thing is certain, my friend: “Traditional” Christianity, that is, Sauline Christianity (Saul wrote much of the New Testament as currently accepted, after elbowing aside the apostles who actually KNEW Jesus Christ) has failed to stop the juze. In fact, so-called Traditional Christianity deifies them. As long as the Old Testament is revered, the juze in the minds of so many will still be “God’s Chosen People” and America will be a judeophile country. While we may disagree, I hope at least you will understand my motivations. One definition of insanity is to keep trying the same thing yet truly expecting different results. Following Saul inot his Sauline Christianity has let the ju right back into our mental lives by the back door after these apiru viciously tortured and killed Our Lord. (Mel Gibson’s movie “The Passion” was actually a turning point in my life with respect to seeing what Jesus really endured the last night and day of His earthly life.)
The co-opting of rising new movements and trends (Pharaoh Akhenaton’s monotheism, Zoroastrianism, Hellenism, Christianity, Protestantism, capitalism, human rights, feminism, environmentalism, television, the major political parties, the Internet) has been a ju specialty now for three thousand years.
I’ll just start with the least-known example, Zoroastrianism. Absolutely key concepts in judaism and Christianity were stolen from it: the Messiah, God versus a Devil, heaven and hell and free will. Yes, all these concepts were taken from the Aryan religion of Iran after they had conquered Babylon, where the juze were living in exile.
If we look at FOX Cable News, we see the TV juze trying to seize and dominate the conservative movement and in their puppets such as Sarah Palin trying to take over the Tea Party movement.
Yes, there are some beautiful things that Saul wrote, because juze are verbally skilled through their yeshivas, and he needed to attract people with some goodies. This is my favorite passage from Saul, from his first letter to the Corinthians, but keep in mind that love was JESUS’ message (agapé in Greek) and Saul was only climbing on board with it:

Now THAT is indeed great!
But the real mission of Saul was to prevent this radical new faith from breaking away totally from the juze who were then viciously murdering the Christians. (And let me repeat what I wrote the other day: I have read the whole Bible — and not just the Old Testament — cover to cover three times, in English, French and in German, and the New Testament in Greek.)
Saul’s letter to the Romans shows his true mission, to keep Christianity on the juish tether even after as Christ said the juze had murdered every righteous man God has ever sent them, and that if they murdered even God’s Son the Father would invite new people to his feast.
The context of Saul’s letter pumping uyp his fellow juze was that in Rome, the capital of the mighty Roman Empire, the ancient Romans had come — like every other people on earth — to hate the populus judaeus (“juish pe0ple”) and resent their odium generis humani, their “hatred of all mankind.” The emperor Claudius denounced the Jews as tumultuantes (“tumult-causers”)….. and banned them from Rome.
Well, under the tyrant Nero (juze always work well with tyrants) they were allowed to come back to the city of Rome. However, the gentile Christians did NOT welcome the juish Christians back, because they were swaggering around, acting as “chosen” and superior as they had before. In fact, the gentile Christians did not miss them at all in their long absence and were sorry they had returned.
So the whole point of the Epistle to the Romans was to tell these gentiles that Jesus was a ju, the juze were still God’s people (esp. in chapter 13, directly contradicting a guy named JESUS in Matthew chapter 21) and that “in the fullness of time” they would accept Christianity, so be patient and do not mess with them.
(This is that “elder brother in the faith” nonsense that several recent popes have put out, which prompted Hutton Gibson (Me’l’s father) to jibe: “Yes, well, Abel had an older brother too.” ;-))
One of the “elder brothers” that Pope John Paul II (himself rumored to be a crypto-ju) met in Rome in 1987 in his “historic” visit to a synagogue was the Chief Rabbi of Rome, Eli Toaff. It was this very rabbi whose son, Ariel Toaff, for reasons best known to himself, wrote the shocking and factual exposé on juish slow, bloody, ritual torture-murder of Christian children (http://bloodpassover.com):

Roger Dommergue Polacco de Menascé is a sephardic juish aristocrat in France who turned violently antizionist and has written many excellent books on the juish threat to mankind. I spoke with him in French by phone in 2006.
Among other things, he is well-known in our circles for saying that the purpose of circumcising juish boys on the eighth day is to correspond to a specific hormonal peak in the neonatal male child. Dommergue claims that this deliberately creates a trauma affecting the thyroid and other glands and thus making juish boys mentally and endocrinally disturbed for the rest of their neurotic lives. A firm believer in the power of hormones, Dommergue asserts that on the eighth day after birth boys begin a three-week cycle of hormonal changes and that circumcision on that eighth day is part of a deliberate hormonal catastrophe, ordered by Moses, so as to create on purpose a hyper-male, conquering, greedy and unfeeling people.

In any case, Dommergue relates a conversation with an Israeli Cabinet minister who, unaware of Dommergue’s change of heart, joked (I cannot find the website with this quote, and am recalling it from memory, but I posted it before on my Libertyforum thread):
“Christianity is the best mistake we Jews ever made. For all the persecutions it has caused us, it still teaches the Gentiles to feel reverence for the Jews. Our history has become their history, and their world revolves around ours.”
