[11:38:02 AM] JS: I recall, when I was in India, that an old man told me that long after America is gone, India will still be there, the temples still standing, etc. He said the West would crumble into a pool of homosexuality and consumerism, but that Indians would be fine. … that the West is a mere blip, albeit a brilliant one (he was actually pro-Western), which however would be extinguished. Only a memory of what Britain was would remain. And the memory of Great Britain would live on — in India! 
[11:39:12 AM] JS: He would talk about the great British Empire that left its mark on India.
[11:39:18 AM] JS: a great people that had died out 
[11:43:49 AM] John de Nugent: He said that, eh?
[11:43:56 AM] JS: Yeah, he did.
[11:43:59 AM] JS: He was, like, 90. I recall the man would be walking towards his house at, like, 11 a.m., about 20 m from the stairs to go up to his house, and I’d get back, like, 12:30 p.m., and he was only halfway up the stairs!!
