Dear John,
.
Thank you for your wonderful work. I read your site daily and learn so much in doing so.
.
I am so tired of the Left distorting our history that I felt it was time to debunk the theories that are promoted in the West about the slave trade. We in Britain are made to feel ashamed at every turn about our colonialism, our racism, our white privilege, and gross misconceptions about our involvement with the slave trade. The media and Left are complicit in promoting and spewing out the fake news that’s not only poisoning the minds of our most impressionable, but harming morale. .
.
In order to understand the English attitude towards slavery, we need to go back to the eleventh century for a start, to the time of the Battle of Hastings in 1066, to be precise. William, Duke of Normandy invaded England and defeated King Harold at the Battle of Hastings. William became William I, King of England.
.
He made the decision to survey the whole of England and in 1086 he published the Domesday Book, the original copies of which are still available – and there is even an online version.
.
In the Domesday Book it was recorded that 10% of the population of England were already slaves – and white ones at that – and so William in his wisdom decided to increase his purse by fining anyone that transported slaves out of the country.
.
This meant that there were no longer slaves in England as a result of the King’s laws. There were however still a great number of serfs amongst the local population under the control of the landed gentry, but such a life was not as bad as one under slavery.
.
In 1102 a synod at Westminster adopted canons against simony, clerical marriages and slavery. This made England a very unique case, there probably wasn’t another country in the world that had outlawed slavery. Slavery was very lucrative and so endemic it was the norm everywhere else in the world. It was also not regarded as being immoral in any way at that time.
.
We now move forward 700 years and England still does not have any slaves. However, the International Slave Trade is in full swing and all countries engaging in it for profit, of course.
.
The Africans who supplied the world with slave labour for profit, the Muslim and Jewish merchants and the Europeans who were colonising the New World. As the rest of the world increased the traffic of slave labour, Britain was not only phasing it out, it was taking to the seas to fight it!
.
A prominent Englishman, Granville Sharp, now took centre stage in the mid-eighteenth century, becoming a leading campaigner for the abolition of the slave trade. He formulated a plan to settle blacks in Sierra Leone in Africa. He founded the St George’s Bay Company and came to be regarded as one of the founding fathers of Sierra Leone.
.
Granville Sharp went on to found the Society for Effecting the Abolition of the Slave Trade which was a 12-member strong group of abolitionists who took it upon themselves to educate the public about the abuses of the slave trade.
.
They were supported in their work with the assistance of the British Navy who helped enforce the law when the society achieved the abolition of the slave trade in 1807. British ships would board French, Spanish, Portuguese and Arab ships – that were often owned by Jewish merchants and financed by Rothschild banks – in the Mediterranean and beyond to remove African slaves, and return them to Africa.
.
From 1808 to 1850 it was only the Spanish and Portuguese, who themselves are often descended from Sephardim and Africans, that would not comply with these demands, but Britain kept up the pressure on these two nations who refused to give up this lucrative source of wealth until the latter part of the nineteenth century.
.
In the nineteenth century an Irish essayist, who was a British MP, wrote about English efforts to abolish slavery, “The unweary, unostentatious, and inglorious crusade in England against slavery may probably be regarded as among the three or four perfectly virtuous pages comprised in the history of nations.”
.
Do we read this in our history books?
.
NO.
.
By 1833 the abolitionists in England, led by William Wilberforce, a prominent Parliamentarian, abolished slavery from all parts of the British Empire with the passing of the Slavery Abolition Act – by Act of Parliament.
.
But slavery is not restricted to those we are force fed to read about in history books. There are many other slave trades practically unheard of which I will touch on later..
.
But all the Left are concerned about, in the USA and in my country at least, is payment of reparation to descendants of African slaves brought to the US. But I never hear a word spoken about reparation for descendants of the Barbary Slave Trade.
.
What is that, many often ask when I tell them about it?
.
As a student of advanced level History I had never heard of the Barbary Slave Trade until fairly recently, which demonstrates the Establishment’s unwillingness to reveal the atrocities, as whites and non Moslems were the victims. White Supremacy and white Privilege, remember?
.
I even asked some of my friends from church if they had heard of the Barbary Slave Trade and they had not. I shared the information with them and they were shocked to know of its existence.
.
According to “controlled” Wikipedia:
.
“The Barbary slave trade refers to slave markets on the Barbary Coast of North Africa, which included the Ottoman provinces of Algeria, Tunisia and Tripolitania and the independent sultanate of Morocco, between the 16th and middle of the 18th century. The Ottoman provinces in North Africa were nominally under Ottoman suzerainty, but in reality they were mostly autonomous.
.
European slaves were acquired by Barbary pirates in slave raids on ships and by raids on coastal towns from Italy to the Netherlands, Ireland and the southwest of Britain, as far north as Iceland and into the Eastern Mediterranean.
.
The Ottoman eastern Mediterranean was the scene of intense piracy. As late as the 18th century, piracy continued to be a “consistent threat to maritime traffic in the Aegean.”
.
In 2003 an Ohio State University Professor, named Robert Davies, wrote a book, entitled ‘Christian Slave, Muslim Masters: White Slavery in the Mediterranean, the Barbary Coast and Italy, 1500-1800’.
.
In the book Professor Davis states that most modern historians minimize the white slave trade, estimating that slave traders from Tunis, Algiers, and Tripoli alone enslaved 1 million to 1.25 million Europeans in North Africa, from the beginning of the 16th century to the middle of the 18th (these numbers do not include the European people who were enslaved by Morocco and by other raiders and traders of the Mediterranean Sea coast). Roughly 700 Americans were held captive in this region as slaves between 1785 and 1815.
.
So, I guess the Left (we all know who controls the Left) were anxious to keep this historical fact quiet as it would ruin their plans to get Blacks to vote for them, if the truth came out.
.

Then there’s the East African slave trade which dwarfed the European trans-Atlantic slave trade.
.
Why don’t we hear about that?
.
Again, it doesn’t serve the interests of our masters, as Muslims were the slavemasters in this instance.
.
The fact that Arabia castrated and eventually killed off the tens of millions of black Africans they brought to Arabia in chains, helps them bury this chapter of history.
.
In conclusion, I would like to dicuss incidences of slavery today.
In conclusion, I would like to dicuss incidences of slavery today.
.
Yes, modern day slavery is still alive and kicking all over the world. Of course, sex-trafficking of women is a form of slavery, and that means big business. Slavery has always been about money and that is why so many countries were reluctant to abolish slavery.

In Voanews the following article appeared October 28, 2009.

‘Human Trafficking: Russian Mafia and the Israeli Connection – 2001-07-20’
“The illegal trafficking of human beings is a growing international crime. Criminal groups have developed a brisk trade selling tens of thousands of women into prostitution. The result is virtual enslavement, as Attorney General John Ashcroft emphasized in announcing new regulations for dealing with traffickers and their victims. Russian mafia, and its connections in Israel, provide an example of how the trade works.

The newspaper ad is hard to resist: a high paying job as a waitress or secretary or model, and it helps to be young and pretty.
For desperate women in the shrunken economies of Russia, Ukraine and other states of the former Soviet Union, the offer from abroad is too good to be true, and of course it is not. But they do not know that as they make their first contact with the elaborate traffic in prostitution.”
.
And these women most often end up in Israel.
.
Go figure.
.
Human failings and lack of compassion play a huge part in the this evil but lucrative business and I fear it will never disappear. Human lives are of equal value, whatever the race or colour, and it speaks volumes about those that promoted it all those years ago and who continue to do so.
