Well, the two other huge branches of Christianity — Protestanism and Eastern Orthodoxy — do not have priestly celibacy.
Among the Orthodox, however, from bishops on up there is celibacy — but the salient point is that the village and city priests who interact with families and children are usually married themselves and have their own children. I have a Greek-American friend and comrade whose own grandfather was a village priest, and was married and had a nice family.
I had great respect for a German Catholic priest I knew in 1979-81, Peter Rafoth….
I asked him about this huge problem with homosexual and pedophile priests. He replied:

Well, I have met really fine people who were Traditional Catholics, with big, fantastic, loving families. You could tell the kids were very well-loved and well-disciplined. I attended a number of their Masses (held half in Latin) in 2008.
Politically, they are very far-right, very anti-Jewish, pro-white, anti-feminism, anti-open borders, etc.
One example would be Bishop Richard Williamson, who has famously denounced the Holocaust as the massive, criminal fraud that it is.
Léon Degrelle was a very devout, committed Roman Catholic in Belgium and during WWII, though he outgrew it somewhat later in Spanish exile after WWII.
This Catholic was the greatest, most decorated of the 400,000 non-German Waffen-SS volunteers in WWII! (Margi and I translated his powerful memoirs into English.)
