I would agree that this is now a popular topic. I have had many people tell me: “I can’t talk” to liberal friends or relatives. “It just becomes a fierce argument.”
A local friend told me a Yooper living in Tennessee drove 17 hours up here to attend “deer camp” (hunting) at his brother’s cabin.
Not only is 17 hours a long haul, but deer camp is an important thing for many Yoopers.
But then he and his liberal brother got into a vicious political argument over Biden and Trump.
He turned around and drove 17 hours back to Tennessee.
That’s a pretty serious argument.
And it goes beyond saying that these two hunters are armed.

If the country split into two countries it would cease to be the military “superpower” it is today.
I wonder how much the “liberal/conservative” division is at bottom a racial division. It seems to me that the Democratic Party, which used to be the “liberal” party, in the sense that its main concern was the freedom of the individual, has become the Jew-led party of non-Whites; while the Pepublican party, which used to mainly represent Business interests, has become the White peoples’ party.
