My father had severe PTSD from Korea and it was not just losing half the officers and men. Or the atrocities by the North Koreans. (He had nightmares for six months and had to see a psychiatrist because he could not sleep after they discovered a N. Korean-crucified, naked, live Marine lieutenant with no eyes or testicles).
It was knowing they were betrayed.
