It’s freezing here. I’m sitting on hard, cold dirt between rocks and shrubs at the base of the Hindu Kush Mountains, along the Dar’yoi Pamir River, watching a hole that leads to a tunnel that leads to a cave.

Stake out, my friend, and no pizza delivery for thousands of miles. I also glance at the area around my ass every ten to fifteen seconds to avoid another scorpion sting. I’ve actually given up battling the chiggers and sand fleas, but the scorpions give a jolt like a cattle prod. Hurts like a bastard. The antidote tastes like transmission fluid, but God bless the Marine Corps for the five vials of it in my pack.

The one truth the Taliban cannot escape is that, believe it or not, they are human beings, which means they have to eat food and drink water. That requires couriers and that’s where an old bounty hunter like me comes in handy.

I track the couriers, locate the tunnel entrances and storage facilities, type the info into the hand held, and shoot the coordinates up to the satellite link that tells the air commanders where to drop the hardware.

We bash some heads for a while, and then I track and record the new movement. It’s all about intelligence. We haven’t even brought in the snipers yet. These scurrying rats have no idea what they’re in for. We are but days away from cutting off supply lines and allowing the eradication to begin.

But you know me; I’m a romantic. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: This country blows, man. It’s not even a country. There are no roads, there’s no infrastructure, there’s no government. Oh, I forgot, you can also live in a refugee camp and eat plum-sweetened, crushed beetle paste and squirt mud like a goose with stomach flu, if that’s your idea of a party. But the smell alone of those ‘tent cities of the walking dead’ is enough to hurl you into the poppy fields to cheerfully scrape bulbs for eighteen hours a day.
I’ve been living with these Tajiks and Uzbeks, and Turkmen, and even a couple of Pashtus, for over a month-and-a-half now, and this much I can say for sure: These guys, are Huns, actual, living Huns. They LIVE to fight. It’s what they do. It’s ALL they do.

They are not “smart.” I suggest CNN invest in a dictionary because the word they are looking for is “cunning.” The Taliban are cunning, like jackals, hyenas, and wolverines are. They are sneaky and ruthless, but when confronted, they are cowardly. They are hateful, malevolent parasites who create nothing and destroy everything.

Marig has completed her proton-beam therapy, her doctors are very happy with her progress, and after one final procedure tomorrow we are hopefully finished. Then I can resume my vital work of establishing a religion that makes us lose the fear of death.
I have been literally blogging via my smartphone for seven weeks on the fly as we hustle between appointments. But Margi was at death’s door in July and it seems now her cancer has been beaten. If not, I will go ahead anyway. It has been eighteen months of perma-stress for me and huge pain and vast expense for Margi.
After 34 sessions of radiation, Margi’s throat broke out, as expected, in a radiation “sun burn.” I am applying 4X daily “Aquaphor,” a German cream based on lanolin; white vinegar; and a silver-based cream, “Silvadene,” plus grinding up pills and injecting them thrice daily into her feeding tube. Tomorrow there will be a final procedure with a camera to see why her lower, as well as upper, esophagus is now inflamed.
It is war, and no one person and nothing is more important than victory, at whatever the price.
And I feel a personal obligation to give it my very best shot. And we got just one left.

Later, we switched to the human version of it. (No, Margi had not started chasing cars. 😉 ) I think it helped, but I suspect the Deep State was behind her getting this cancer and not beating it with sound, proven natural anti-cancer therapies. We acceded to the necessity of chemo and proton-beam radiation only “in extremis” — with the tumor on her carotid artery. It kept growing despite everything we did to beat it naturally.

I had a waking dream myself about her a few months back, a bizarre non-dream. I simply saw a B&W family snapshot of her, with basically her face and figure, and platinum-blond hair, in a one-piece white bathing suit on a beach. And the words came into my mind “East Prussia.”

Her waking dream a few days ago was about what women suffered after the war. Margi is very strong, resolute and not into self-pity, which are the traits of her German forebears (“Hochstetter” became anglicized to “Huffstickler”), but she began crying and asked me what I felt it meant. It now seems clearly to be a reincarnation thing.

Margi has a very regal personality, like some sort of high-born person — nobility or upper middle class — so I think she came from a “very good family” in her last life. What she described was terrible for any woman, but in her case it was also a fall from high status to utter degradation — part of the waking dream took place literally in a sewer — and I think she was either murdered there by a “john” or a pimp, or some US Army Khazar officer, or she killed herself out of sheer despair. Now she is reluctant to delve into it any more, which I understand.

…..Margi, to be honest, is not so much “into” all my reincarnation and spiritual stuff, and is more interested in the here-and-now, in politics, history, and the fine arts (opera, poetry, painting, and fine music).

But I think the gods/angels 1) wanted her to see the importance of my studies that prove scientifically that the afterlife is real, and 2) for me to understand her more as a person. (I also realized that her personality traits, including being critical, precise, and exacting, were in large measure those of a German, not an American, and in fact, while her family was from laid-back, country-boy/girl Appalachia, that is not how she is at all. 😉 )

The fact is this, that a person can suffer PTSD from another life. And many, many fervent NS Germans ended their lives by suicide in the early postwar years. Until 1949, basically, the wicked Morgenthau Plan was in effect — starve the Germans and dismantle all their industries, turning this advanced nation into a Third World country of starving peasants. There was no ray of hope at all of escaping the terrible hunger, the grinding poverty, the Holo lies and guilt trip, and, horribly, women by the millions having to sell themselves so their families could eat. (Their husbands, boyfriends and sons were often dead, fallen in the war.)

The German people, if you think about it, went from a kind of heaven on earth (a happy society, one that was full of beauty, harmony, radiant idealism and meaning) to the depths of utter hell. .

But, as so often, reincarnation can explain strange leanings, aversions, and flashbacks. (I felt incredibly drawn to everything German as a boy to the astonishment of my parents.) It was also “weird” that we met on an April 20th, and felt an instantaneous connection.

She was British in this life, but had an encyclopedic knowledge of medieval, southern French society, and what people wore, how they prepared food, and the color of the robes of Cathar priests.

She described being burned alive, her eyelids melting off, and a strange chilled sensation which the flames produced before death.
