Just in the last three days I have heard about three young local white people who committed suicide. One was a girl who “looked like Marilyn Monroe” and was “on anti-depressants.” I have known the mom for five years.
I was told of a Washington DC Republican who had incestuous sex with his own daughter, and had her murdered to shut her up.
These things floor me. My head is spinning.
I walked out of the tavern realizing anew how my mission is sacred. I thank God when it is so black and white, so brutally clear. And people confide in me for a reason.
