London’s famous memorial statue of Sir Winston Churchill was vandalized by Black Lives Matter rioters on Saturday as the UK saw waves of violent protests.
The beloved former prime minister and war hero led his country to victory over Nazi Germany during World War II, helping defend the Western world from tyranny.

Whether intentionally or not, the attack coincided with the 76th anniversary of D-Day – the joint Anglo-American invasion of occupied France.
The move, in which thousands of allied troops gave their lives, opened up a second front in the war against Germany and was crucial in preparing the way for Hitler’s ultimate defeat.
In recent days, cities across the UK have seen sympathy protests in support of the American Black Lives Matter “anti-racist” organization.
The heavily-funded far-left political group Black Lives Matter has taken a leading role in riots that have rocked the US in the wake of black man George Floyd’s death while being taken into police custody last week.

In the London demonstrations, which have drawn thousands of rioters, police officers have been assaulted despite some of them kneeling before protesters in submission.
Some of the police guarding Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s residence at 10 Downing Street have also been attacked.
It appears the world-famous Churchill memorial was defaced with letters ACAB – which is believed to stand for “All Cops Are B******s”

Shortly afterward, a police horse bolted through a crowd of protesters after a cop was knocked off the saddle.
Video from this evening outside Whitehall shows tension between police in full riot gear and protesters as objects are thrown in the crowd.

Thousands of “anti-racism” protesters gathered across the UK – despite Health Secretary Matt Hancock’s plea to stay away.
Crowds met at Black Lives Matter rallies in London, Manchester, Newcastle, Cardiff, and Watford.
Yesterday, the Health Secretary begged Brits not to join in, urging them to avoid mass demonstrations as they breach lockdown rules.
But people have been rallying in the UK all week, with thousands taking to the streets.
Protests across the US had initially been marred by the looting and destroying of shops, and videos of violence between police and crowds quickly spread on social media.

It comes after ministers urged people not to gather in large numbers this weekend, with police warning that mass demonstrations could be unlawful.
Last night, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said he was “appalled” by the death of Mr. Floyd, but stressed the UK was still facing a health crisis, and coronavirus remained a “real threat.”
Hancock told the daily Downing Street briefing on Friday he could understand why people were “deeply upset,” but said people in the UK should not attend large gatherings.
Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage blasted the London protesters in a tweet earlier this week.
This protest in London now has nothing to do with George Floyd.
