The memory of the terrible act is still fresh: In June a Somali man indiscriminately killed three people  in the middle of downtown Würzburg with a knife that he had stolen from a shop there. Now, three months later, new details about the – as originally assumed – 24-year-old perpetrator have become known. Because: apparently the man is a bit older than assumed. “We are currently assuming 32 years,” said a spokesman for the Munich Public Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, confirming a report by the “Main-Post” that said the Somali was eight years older.

The Federal Prosecutor General in Karlsruhe had checked the case because the Somali is said to have killed civilians, journalists and police officers for the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab in 2008/2009.

But there was no investigation because there were no concrete facts and it was assumed that the Somali was under the legal age of criminal responsibility.
