Red Cross in 1944 to American official: NO EXTERMINATION at Auschwitz

Spread the love

I fixed up a bit this letter below, dated 22 November 1944, from the International Committee of the Red Cross, Central Agency for Prisoners of War, to an American official, Roswell McClelland, special assistant to the US ambassador to Switzerland. (That address, 29 Alp Street in Bern, is now the embassy of South Africa, btw: https://www.southafrica.ch/about-us/contact-information.html)

I used GIMP, since it was off-kilter and very dark-yellow from age.
