In fact he just told me he never really heard his girlfriend talk (scream) but it was more like a bad, far away, faint voice on a bad phone line. Almost telepathic would be a better description.

K: Nope! He was a professional musician and recording artist since age 16 but after that, whenever a gig was over, he either went straight home or to his hotel room — and skipped the partying. It took him 4 years before he would even have a beer, much less touch any dope (rampant in the business). Later on he could handle a few drinks with friends as the trauma had passed, but quit completely after the birth of our 1st child as he didn’t want to set a bad example. He actually pissed off famous people he played with, like [], who got mad if you didn’t get hammered with him, but lots of others were pleased as punch to have band members that didn’t get wasted and screw up on stage.

The Longwood Center is a part of Boston where the staff is directed by Harvard doctors. I taught American accent to many Japanese MD-PhDs doing research in these hospitals 1997-2003 whose accent in English was incomprehensible.

As the hours drag on into evening, and a tv reporter looks at her in deep sympathy, she begins to panic more and more ¦
The wife/mother has already lost her faith completely that any kind of loving God exists ¦ Great performance by actress Garner. This mother is truly at the very end of her tether, and having no more faith in God, she feels
incredibly alone in a universe barren of hope.
But, incredibly, the little girl is not killed or paralyzed.
Instead, she has an NDE, a Near Death Experience. She leaves, and she SEES, her own body ¦. (a standard NDE experience) ¦.

This scene recalls many accounts, where heaven ” the temporary processing center for good people ” is like earth, but more colorful and beautiful.
