December 19
You might feel a bit of-center today. But there are things you can do to stay grounded and whole, even while life as you have known it stops cooperating.
There are the obvious things: remember to breathe, chant or pray, and be in nature if you can.
Ontonagon River at dawn, just two minutes away, as is the vast and deep Lake Superior
Just take the measures you like best to make sure you hold your own space.
And if you feel fear or unease, know it for what it is. You and everyone on your planet are on a wild ride at the moment. Think of amusement park rides and how they can be both wildly freeing and absolutely terrifying. It will come full circle: the scary parts will abate and you will be where you are more comfortable again soon.
In the meantime, don’t panic. Be patient with yourself if you find that you are irritable or uneasy, and do your best to connect with anything that makes you feel safe and clear. Also, as we often remind you, it is very important to stay aware that many others will be subject to this discomfort
and there may be outbursts of temper.
If you should encounter such things, don’t forget that they arise from fear, from a loss of control. You will do well to soothe when you can and stand aside when you can’t.
If you are one of those lucky enough to swim around the currents of fear, take today to send out love and calm reassurance to all you meet. It will be a most helpful action.
Eat lightly today and with consciousness. Anything excessive is likely to feed fear.
We will be here. There is nothing to fear in truth. Of this we can always assure you. Any difficulties encountered today will pass, and tomorrow will bring new energies. Stay focused on what is in front of you; do not think long-term or big picture, but rather stay centered in this moment.
And this one. And this one. 🙂
That is all you need to do today.
There is much love, many blessings and support for you. Fare thee well!

…..What these nordics say, Tolle does too
Yes, mental salvation, inner peace, does comes from being able to switch constantly back into the moment, and enjoy whatever is there.
And this is the whole point of Eckhart Tolle:
https://johndenugent.com/wp-content/uploads/The-Power-Of-Now-Eckhart-Tolle.pdf
It is truly intriguing how much Tolle, who did not become prominent until the late 1990s, physically resembles the fictional alien spiritual master Yoda in the 1977 movie “Star Wars.”
It would seem as if God were guiding Eckhart along to his destiny. In 1977, he was still a student, on a full scholarship, as I understand it, to the great Cambridge University, a high honor, and especially so for a non-Briton. (Tolle is a German who grew up in Spain, studied in England and then moved to his current location in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.)
Margi could never get into Tolle to my regret. I think maybe she was repulsed as a woman by his slightly strange appearance. He is certainly no SS-poster type.
Maybe his gnomish appearance, to be straightforward about it 😉 was part of his own path — to influence the world not by his looks but by his message.
How often do movie-star good looks go to a man’s or woman’s head and make them arrogant and self-centered!
I am thinking of one person I know, with a beautiful face, and someone who knows her said to me: “She knows she can wrap any man around her little finger with her looks.”
So, in this unusually egoic world, Earth, physical attractiveness can hinder your spiritual growth. So, for whatever reason, Eckhart is not much to look at. 😉
When I was at the Himalayan Institute in 1993, studying meditation in Pennsylvania at an ashram run by a real guru from India, Swami Rama, there was a whole tempest in a teapot. Had the great master had a girlfriend? Oh My God! 😉
He had! But conservative Hindus were scandalized that a guru would be involved with a woman….
Actually, the Swami did not come on to women; believe me, they came on to him. And not one of them had any complaints. 😉 Maybe Swami Rama also knew Tantra. 😉
But it struck me that his good looks got him in trouble. His final years were clouded by this supposed “scandal.” He even left Pennsylvania for an ashram in the Caribbean. (Many Indians live in the formerly British islands down there, going back to when it was all the British Empire.)
And he put out a fib that he had had no sexual relations with these women. I put out a paper with my viewpoint and it was highly regarded, as I was later told. I said he should tell the truth for fundamental reasons, and smash this taboo against gurus being married or having a sex life.
Look how celibacy has destroyed the Catholic Church! Its priesthood is full of homosexuals and even pedophiles! How perfect if one is after another adult male or wants to do deviant things with a docile boy, who is overawed by an authority figure that represents God!
Anyway, if the Swami had looked like an average Indian, none of this would have happened and his final years would have be peaceful, with his previously high standing unsullied.
I had a nice gf in the 1990s who said to me that I was “the only blond guy she had ever dated who was not full of himself.”…..
So maybe God knew what he was doing when he made Tolle look like Yoda. 😉
