Spiritual reading: let the sun shine in

Use the sun today if it is visible where you are. If not, we strongly suggest that you find a substitute to use today—pictures, golden color of clothing, metal jewelry—anything to help you keep the sun in sight.

For today has the capacity to be a day when you can see the horizon, when you can see the sun edging up over the lip of the earth, with all its promise and glory. The days have been dark in many ways of late.

Dark, quiet, inward. But today offers hope for something different. It is coming, you know. And it will be possible to see the first glimmerings of what beauty is on its way during your day today.

You may see it in people, in events or in nature. Perhaps you will find it in yourself. It will probably be unique to each of you. But there will be signs, indicators of where things are likely heading, so keep your inner and outer eyes open. And if you use the golden light of the sun as a doorway, a means for accessing the vision you need in order to see ahead, you are much more likely to see something clear and inspiring.

We hope that you will, and that in so seeing and being assured, you will be able to carry on with renewed strength and courage. It may take some effort to look, but we urge you to make it. The rewards will be worth that effort.

Try to attend to physical needs today. Your body would love a little attention, some nurturing, however you find and define that. Be as sweet as you can with yourself and those around you. If and when you see that light rising over the horizon, if and when you catch a glimpse of day in the distance, it will be easy to do.

Until then, use intent to help yourself act ‘as if ’ from kindness. Even that will underlay and support your ability to feel the hopefulness of the future.

Stay in the light, literally, as much as you can. Hold the sun in your heart when you cannot see it. Allow yourself to indulge your belief in transformation, your faith in love and your desire to live open-hearted and free.

Do that today. It could be more amazing than you can imagine.
