The fire on the “Moskva”

The amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard, built to bring Marines to the beaches to storm them,  was destroyed in July 2020 by a fire that began while the ship was in port in San Diego. After three billion dollars in damage, caused probably by arson, the cutting-edge ship was scrapped.

As for the fire on the Russian cruiser “Moskva,” I suspect sabotage, arson, by a sailor, petty officer or even officer, just as with the USS Bonhomme Richard.

One man can take out a ship worth billions, and then get a gigantic payment by an enemy for betraying his country. Or one sailor is a psychopath and wants vengeance for something, a perceived slight, a demotion, or or a promotion refused.

On the topic of lone killers….I am just about the only blogger to discuss the possibility that the Germanwings pilot, Andreas Lubitz, who deliberately crashed his airliner into the French Alps, killing 150+ innocents, was furious at Germanwings for, in his view, passing him over for promotion due to his perceived bisexuality and effeminate mannerisms.

A major newspaper in Ireland ran an article on this, but the topic proved too politically incorrect….due to the backlash that might have ensued over a troubled gay or bi man, the pilot, possibly murdering 150+ innocent people.

French rescue workers suffered from PTSD after days of picking up body parts. My French wife Brigitte (2002-04) and I were trying to buy a small ski hotel in this area, near Barcelonnette.

And both the Tunesian muslim who ran over 89 people in Nice, France with a truck and the muslim who murdered 50+ gay people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida were apparently self-hating gay men.

But the idea of gay mass murderers is politically incorrect.

There are several other examples of mass murders where the perpetrator belonged to a “protected” group and the media decided “not to go there.”………..

The Germanwings crash area

One of three Americans killed, Emily Selke (along with her mother Yvonne); of German ancestry, Emily had graduated in 2013 from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a music major. Germanwings never recovered from this scandal and finally went bankrupt.
