I and my wife were once at a party thrown by a Georgetown professor for his graduate students, their spouses and children.

Half were Indian, Arabic and East Asian, the other half white.

As our children played nicely with each other and the adults ate chips, drank tea and conversed, I saw the non-white parents look at the center of the room.

The Indians, Arabs and Chinese were gazing in awe at our children.
