The government presently uses the IRS approval status to threaten to take away WHITE churches’ tax-exempt status if they start getting too uppity. (Black churches, and mosques and synagogues can say or do whatever they want.)
This presently stops white Christian conservative churches from speaking out about touchy subjects and it shuts them up. This could be a very significant issue (if Trump succeeds in getting into office).

At the March 29th rally in Janesville Wisconsin, outlined several ideas one of which was do away with 501C3 status of churches which he says contributed to the pulpit being silenced in the political world and infringe upon free speech.
This whole arrangement was rammed through by president Eisenhower, who as WNs know actually was mega-evil and wanted to neuter the churches as the NWO agenda was gradually forced on the country.
His great-niece Laura Eisenhower, btw, who strongly resembles him, is very opposed to the NWO (and speaks openly about aliesn which is appropriate since her great-uncle first got America into hot war in this regard.).
