I came across an article in the FAR-left Independent (a major UK paper linked to The Guardian) that caught my eye this afternoon. (You can’t begin to understand your enemy unless you study them — meaning The Independent, not the author)

A Nigerian man named Ade Adeyemi, about to be awarded an MBE [Member of the Britishs Empire] for his services to the National Health Service (NHS) by the Queen, writing that he believes that black people would be better served trying to level the playing field, rather than levelling statues.

Adebusuyi (Ade) Adeyemi currently works for NHS England and NHS Improvement and sits on the Executive Committee of the NHS BME Network.
He is also the Director of the Chatham House African Public Health Leaders Fellowship. Chatham House is The Royal International Affairs Think Tank, and Ade supports policy development work with developing countries across sub-Saharan Africa and South East Asia.
Adeyemi writes in his Independent column,

Although he certainly does not go far enough, and it’s quite mind-boggling a black person – any person – would actually reject receiving an MBE, nevertheless it is a start.

No doubt Mr Adeyemi will have received a mountain of abuse for this humble and genuinely honourable Tweet as well as been called an “Uncle Tom” by Left wing hatemongers.

I have to admit that the article is very well written, raising some excellent points.

In fact I would say it’s excellent in every way. I also believe that the author might have expounded farther on the matter if he were allowed to. You can’t upset your Leftist owners though, can you….

I also wonder if there are more people like the author, in positions of authority and influence, who share a similar nuanced opinion with Mr Adeyemi. No doubt there are, based on the number of non-white Africans and Indians I’ve met (most of whom were fresh off the boat) who see the Brits in a vastly different manner than the average belligerent blowhard Leftist does.

This is in fact, as the author notes, how his own parents, and the other African subjects of empire he knows, see Britain and the Empire! As both flawed and a positive influence.

Therefore, that Adeyemi himself thinks this way should come as no great surprise. The only real surpise here is that the evil Independent published it. (I wonder if they’re not just trying to appear balanced in order to save face. They, along with the Guardian, are reviled by more than 75% of the country, and these newspapers are hemorrhaging money.)

But if we are honest with ourselves, we have to know that the average black person we meet in the mall or on the street just wants to get on in our lands. They find it hard to succeed for a variety of reasons, and are fed lies since birth regarding the origin of their struggles.

We would argue it is real racial differences and a natural physical (aesthetic) difference that are simply too hard to overcome, while their owners on the liberal plantation would claim it’s muh racism.

The author of the following piece has a slightly more nuanced analysis that I feel is well worth a read.

Once these people realize they too are being used by our shared enemies, perhaps they will get on better in our societies.
Perhaps if we avoid referring to them as n***** when we speak about the decent amongst them, and try to teach them they need to start behaving properly — and would be far better off with us again at the head of the table than all races groaning under our shared enemy’s boots, they’ll be less inclined to lap up the b-s they are fed by the media.
We need a little less Andrew Anglin — and a little more tact, strategy and nobility in our approach!

Perhaps some of the better non-whites may even become allies in our eternal struggle against the REAL enemy of humanity. I won’t hold my breath, but it would be nice.
