The Swedish language is very similar to German and Danish which I also speak, so there are no problems when I visit. In any case, Swedes speak excellent English and their accents are hard to distinguish from native born English speakers.

On my recent trip back to the frozen North, a lovely Swedish lady came up to me at a bus stop in rural Norbotten and said she had heard I was English (or perhaps American, as they don’t really differentiate between the two). She had an English boyfriend and wanted to make friends,  and we really got on well together.

Although Swedes are often seen as rigid and cold due to their Germanic roots, this is not the case-especially in the lands (the provinces are referred to as “lands”) to the North where people are personable, merry, open and full of vigor.

Swedish people in general are very likeable and open – something that often perplexes Americans who see Swedes as cold, reserved, and unfriendly (called “stur”).

Swedes are trusting; they believe people are generally good, and sadly, they are too unquestioning of their government.

This has created massive problems of late, as old-school liberals have been replaced by modern cultural Marxists and anti-Whites like the infamous Barbara Spectre, and democratic socialists with good intentions, replaced by evil SOCIALISTS with hate in their hearts. (Thankfully, Sweden does not have as much to destroy culturally as nations like Italy, France or England.)

Sweden is very left-leaning and very welcoming to immigrants as most of you know, but still I wouldn’t let that define her.

In fact you will be hard-pressed to find many people outside of the large cities that support the very worst of what the State is doing to the country – although they accept it (as Swedes tend to).

Swedes are open and welcoming to people that want to fit in, but still for the most part opposed to the sorts of rabble the nation’s attracted since it’s opened its borders.

I asked my new Swedish friend what she thought of the immigrants that were in the South of Sweden in Malmö [“ö” is pronouncd like the “oo” in our word “book”] in particular, as well as those that had been transported from the Stockholm area and settled in Northern Sweden. She was very gracious but measured and cautious in her response and tempered her commentary.

Although I could see in her eyes what she REALLY felt, she was reluctant to be forthright as the moment required – not because she thought I would cancel her (that really only happens in the nation that has freedom of speech enshrined in her Constitution-the least-free nation I have ever lived in) or report her for racism, as can happen in America, but because she didn’t want me to see that she thought differently than was expected of her by her peers.

That’s the Swedish way. It was not fear, just Swedish conformity and politeness.

Swedes can sadly be rather brain-washed, and feel as though they are obliged to accept everything their government and media tell them. Because of this, and the fact that Sweden is still mostly indigenous, Swedes are extremely law-abiding, and crimes of murder and rape are a new occurrence since the advent of mass immigration over the last few years.

She told me that in the North of Sweden the immigrants have not caused too much unrest as the numbers are too small. She did however say that in Malmo and Gothenburg in the South there were many incidences of violence against the police and local population – with no-go areas that had been completely unheard of a few years ago that she was concerned about.

Unlike American leftists, the vast majority of Swedish liberals for the most part will accept reality, although they often struggle to at first. Again part of their being TOO trusting…

With a large number of Somali immigrants in the Stockholm area there has been an enormous number of rapes, which most Swedes I speak with are none too pleased about. Swedish women are very blond, beautiful, too sexually liberated for their own good, and as they’ve been raised around emasculated Swedish men, they are oblivious to the reality of how Muslim and black men view women.

They are also unused to the violence of these men who have been thrust upon them by the Leftist government.

There have also been retributory attacks on mosques by Swedes in the big cities and very aggressive counter protests the American and Swedish media ignore- but those people that have taken THE law into their own hands arrive from the rural communities outside of Stockholm. It is, though, fair to say that Swedes are generally very peace-loving and don’t present too much opposition to the new arrivals.

Unlike America, Sweden is a mainly homogenous society with a unique culture.

By comparison, in the USA (in some of the big Democrat-run cities where the population is predominantly Black and Hispanic) countless acts of murder and violence are the norm. The situation is totally out of control.

I know nationalists tend to think that Sweden is overflowing with non-white migrants, but this simply is not the case.
.
If one discounts Stockholm and Malmo, Sweden probably only has tens of thousands of (TOTAL) non white immigrants living in the country. You can drive the length and breadth of the nation and not see one.

In the town in which I stay when I am back in Sweden, there are three non whites-all that arrived for the right reasons. We have a Chinese restaurant with Chinese people in it, an Indian restaurant with Indians working there, and a launderette operated by a family from I believe Lebanon.

That’s three small groups of immigrants in a town of about 15,000. And this is by no means atypical.
.
As bad as Sweden is, our non-Swedish population is still only about 8%.
.
America has a former slave population of about 12%. Then there are the Mexicans, full blooded AFRICAN Africans, Latin Americans and Caribbean people, Arabs, Asians etc. By some estimates, if one factors in the illegals, America now has about 150+ MILLION non-whites.

That’s about 50-60% of the population if one counts the illegals.
.
Then there’s the fact that many people in Sweden who count as “immigrants in our census” are classified and tabulated as white in America.
.
For example, we have tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands of Muslim and non-Muslim migrants that arrived from the Balkans after the war in Kosovo  (think Zlatan Ibrahimovic-Sweden’s most famous footballer of all time) who is of Yugoslav ancestry.
.
He and his countrymen would be classified as whites in America, while here they are classified as “immigrants.”
.
In America people from the Levant, the Caucuses and Iran, as well as people from parts of India and people from mixed-race ancestry (Eurasian in particular) who are “white-passing”, are classified as whites in the census, whereas in Sweden they would be considered immigrant stock, further driving up Sweden’s immigration numbers and underestimating America’s.
.
If you factor all this into the equation, Sweden probably has an immigrant population of less than 4% (factoring in people hailing from the Balkans, Iran, the Levant and other Caucasian nations that live in Sweden). And America has  upwards of 70% non-Anglo Saxon non-Western European people living within her borders.

Finns, Balts, Russians and other “white-passing” Asians and Eurasians living in Sweden also count towards immigrant numbers. They are, of course, classified as white in America.

Now to the “Swedish-styled Socialism” I often hear the American Left speak so glowingly about….

Sweden has always been admired as a successful model of Socialism – one to emulate – as yes, what Sweden has employed does work well.
.

People have good medical care (our infant mortality and child birth mortality rates are a fraction of America’s), life is good and people don’t generally worry about ending up living in their cars.
.
What people like Bernie Sanders though fail to state is why it has worked and how what we have implemented DIFFERS from what he wants to do to America.

Firstly, there’s the homogeneity of the nation – which I detailed above. Non-whites from Africa and other low IQ regions simply do not produce at the same levels as higher IQ people, and as such impose a burden on the system. That’s all well and good when your nation only has a few hundred thousand to prop up and support – not when you have 150 MILLION!

Then there’s the fact that Sweden really is not all that Socialistic!

Sure, Swedish-styled Socialism has taken away SOME of the rights of the individual to think and act freely to act freely, the government over-regulates EVERYTHING, and there are inflation issues due to bad economic policy that I will get into. But beyond that, people are still relatively free to do as they please — far MORE so than in the US.

Just look at how Sweden handled COVID-19! You won’t hear lockdown-obsessed American lefty scum mentioning Sweden’s lax handling of the pandemic when they talk about “Swedish Socialism”.

Now let’s look at the negatives.

Sweden’s Left over the past few years have undeniably suppressed the desire to strive and work hard – a reputation Swedes always had in the past, but with the advent of the welfare state and enormously generous benefits, people no longer feel ashamed or unwilling to accept benefits, in preference to working.
.
Successive Socialist-styled governments – in an attempt to achieve “equality” (gender in particular) for all – have legislated for grossly elevated minimum wage levels for workers. Quite a few years ago it was about 14$ an hour and now it’s about $18.

.

Of course, this was something much welcomed by the public, little realizing what a tremendous negative impact it would have on the price of ordinary foodstuffs in the supermarket. The prices are, on average, double what they are in the UK and the selection is poor in comparison.

And why do I say “about” when referring to minimum wage?

.

Because Sweden does not have a minimum wage!

.

Someone should tell Bernie that Sweden does not have in fact have a mandatory minimum rate of pay for workers. Pay rates must be agreed upon directly with the employer through collective bargaining or other means of negotiating a fair living wage.
.

Then there’s Sweden’s over-regulation of the energy sector-something Biden and the monsters behind the Green New Deal are pushing in the States.

I asked my friend about the current cost of living, in particular electricity prices in Sweden – she was none too pleased about the cost of energy, to put it mildly.
.
A few years ago, they changed the system so that every household’s supply would be serviced by two companies (both heavily tied to the ruling party), instead of just the one formerly. What that meant was two companies employing two sets of people to do the same job that one had done before.
.
The price of electricity for an average household doubled overnight, she told me.
.
Sweden is a very cold country with a great amount of snow and temperatures in the -25 to -30 degree range for quite a few months of winter.

A household in winter can expect to pay about £400 [ = US$550] per month – and I am not exaggerating.
.
My friend, who is retired, was telling me that most people cannot afford to have the heating on at more than 15 degrees in the winter – which is not warm enough by any stretch of the imagination.
.
I spoke with another Swedish friend in Lapland who told me that he had started his own business in Northern Sweden; he was a craftsman builder.
.
He told me the prices he had to charge customers were based on the fact that the minimum amount of taxes he had to pay the government every year, irrespective of whether his business made a profit or not, was exorbitant.
.

Meanwhile the Swedish government lowered corporate tax rates to levels about HALF what they were in the United States under Obama.

.

Another thing Bernie won’t tell you….

So, big government agencies, an expensive benefit system, high immigration, high taxes, corporate cronyism, high food and energy prices do not serve the ordinary person well – big corporations though are generally well-served.
.
Such a system does not encourage free enterprise, hard work or success.
.
In an opinion piece by Jean Chen in the Epoch Times of February 12, 2021, entitled ‘Nordic Countries are not ‘Socialist Paradises’,

.

….she claims that Nordic countries — Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland —  are often used as models of “good” socialism by leftists, like Bernie Sanders, the Clintons, and Barack Obama.
.
But Ms Chen goes on to denounce Socialism. She compares Sweden’s growth rate at the implementation of welfare state policies between 1870 and 1936, when it was the highest among industrialized nations.
.
However, as the welfare state was gradually adopted between 1936 and 2008, Sweden’s growth rate fell to 13th place.
.
In other words, the culture of the indigenous Swedish people was the driving force behind the work ethic, contributing to the growth factor of Sweden – while in comparison, since the advent of the welfare state, the desire to succeed and to work hard has been suppressed.
.
In her article, Ms. Chen quoted an example that reiterated her belief that Socialism takes away the desire for hard work. Cousins of Swedes who had left Sweden a century or more ago have been profoundly more successful in the USA than their counterparts back in their home country.
.
Socialism has also removed the capacity of people to think for themselves, some of their hard fought-for freedoms and in turn, a little of their patriotism.
.
Now for the positives, the myths and most importantly, why Swedish-style democratic Socialism works in Sweden but can’t in the United States.
.
Sweden is still, at least outside the cities, indigenous white Swedish and relatively homogeneous – the PRIMARY reason Sweden’s brand of socialism has not killed the country entirely.
.
Sweden has low crime rates (our murder rate is 1/5th America’s and even more telling, murder among white Swedes (0.2 murders per 100K poplation) is about 1/12th what it is in white America).
.
We also – something leftists fail to mention – have a lot of guns here.
.
Most people north of Stockholm either hunt, or will eat food that has been killed by a hunter. Hunting means guns, and make no mistake, there are LOADS of them in Sweden. Sweden in fact has one of the highest per capita gun possession rates in all of Europe – almost 6X rates seen in Eastern Europe where gun possession is far rarer.
.
And no one, EVEN on the Left, has an issue with that.
.
Our government requires us to take a gun-safety course if we want to buy a rifle or shotgun but it is pleasant, informative, typically taught by local hunters and gives people taking it the information they need to be safe. This is why we rarely have accidental shootings in Sweden, while America is plagued by them.
.
Then there’s the fact we have very little corruption, while America  – as evidenced by the most recent sham of an election – is riddled with it.

.

Money spent on health care actually goes to health care in Sweden.

.

Sweden spends LESS per capita than the United States on medical care and EVERYONE is covered. (I wonder if Bernie knows? or cares….)

.

Someone should tell the Democrats demanding even MORE money be spent on health care that money spent when there is mismanagement and endemic levels of corruption will only exacerbate the problem. (Not that they’d care or listen as it is not even about health care!)
.
This is again down to the fact that the people running the show are less ideologically Socialistic than they are simply good policy makers.
.

That we don’t have the likes of AOC and Maxine Waters in charge of the books also is HUGELY significant and ignored by American socialists.
.

A white nation can survive under some form of democratic socialism (which still has more in common with Germany’s national socialism than Bolshevik socialism), whereas a land run by non-whites (America’s federal govt is largely administratively run and operated by DC blacks now) and corrupt white traitors as is the case in America, CANNOT.
.
Sweden is not perfect, but it still retains a certain amount of its original culture that binds its largely homogeneous people together, its brand of Socialism is not too debilitating, and the people are a delight.

.
America – “the land of the free and the home of the brave” – was built by the indomitable spirit of western man, initiative, hard work, and the unwavering belief of its people. Things that still live on in the hopes and dreams of the very best of America’s people.
.
What sadly America was built on most of all – the dreams of white immigrants – has, though, died long ago.
