Steve Hanks — watercolors of women and magic; spiritual reading: take a break on this challenging world; BIG NEWS

Spread the love

Having worked passionately in watercolors in my last life, even supporting myself financially this way — three paintings a day for years in Vienna and Munich — I can testify that this is an artistic medium where you cannot paint over a mistake, such as a crooked line.

The watercolor sinks deep into the paper. I can therefore say with authority that Steve Hanks (see below) was a true master of watercolor paintings, called Aquarelle in German and the like in other languages. (All paintings on this entire page are from Hanks.)

A 1903 watercolor:

I note also that, as a San Franciscan, he overwhelmingly painted California, and its many white and even nordic Californians, not the racial minorities now ruining the place, and especially he painted his white wife and three white children.

Finally, I was touched and saddened that Steve died at just 66 of the effects of cancer treatments, chemo and radiation, just as I lost my spouse.

Steve Hanks, the premiere artist working today in the technically demanding field of realistic watercolor figure painting, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from complications of treatment for cancer.

His astonishing realism came from a skillful control of washes, edges and layers, and his knowledge of the properties of water and pigment.

“Now I understand how to gain control by letting go,” he said in his 2006 book, Moving On. “I just want to be part of the ride.”

Although teachers often cited his artistic ability, Steve Hanks’ main interest while growing up around San Francisco was sports. As a young teenager, Hanks pursued surfing and tennis with passion and his spiritual connection with the ocean never left him.

After high school Hanks enrolled in summer session commercial art courses at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. He did well in his commercial art classes, but it was a life drawing class that captured his interest. He focused his energy on the study of anatomy and figure drawing and transferred into the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. He graduated in the 1960s with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and then moved back to New Mexico in search of a home art gallery.

Initially, he drew in pencil and painted in oils. His paintings were impressionistic while his drawings were more realistic. Eventually, an allergic reaction to oils forced him to experiment with watercolors. Using the techniques learned from other mediums, he found he could create watercolors as “finished” as oils.

Jurors, galleries and collectors have long recognized Steve Hanks’ talent. He received the National Watercolor Society Merit Award and the National Academy of Western Art Gold Medal, in addition to consistently appearing in the list of top ten American artists compiled by U.S. Art Magazine. Art for the Parks has honored his work with many awards.

His paintings are much more than endearing images of women and children. Rather than conveying a specific message through his paintings, Hanks preferred to explore memories and emotions.

“All art is an escape to somewhere you want to be, or a feeling you want to have,” Hanks said.

“People see different things in my paintings because we all have different backgrounds and feelings.”

His highly collected nudes convey an introspective solitude that prompts the viewer to think about his or her own life and path. “Women occupy a special niche in my sensitivity. They express more storytelling ability. There’s more magic in them,” he said.

*** JdN: I found that the Russians really like Steve Hanks….

I remember white California…..and white New York, too,

The emotional impact of these detailed and highly realistic paintings is stunning. Whatever the subject—children, families, women, nudes, landscapes, water, textile patterns—the paintings are also about light, shadow and emotion. They each reveal a personal challenge, pain, or joy of the artist.

“I want my whole body of work to tell a story when I’m gone,” he said. “It will tell the story of my life emotionally.”

Steve Hanks lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he raised his three children, who were often portrayed in his art. His work can be seen on his official website at http://stevehanks.info/  He was represented by many galleries over his lifetime including Leslie Levy, E.S. Lawrence, Aspen Grove and SR Brennen. He was published in fine art editions by The Greenwich Workshop, Inc. in Seymour, CT.

……spiritual reading for May 15

Today is good day to go easy, to stay quiet and tend gently to yourself. The best thing you can do is to cocoon yourself and keep your interactions with the world at a minimum. It is not as if the forces without will be malignant or unusually challenging, but rather from a positive point of view, it will be useful to gather and collect yourself. Particularly if you have flung yourself far afield of late.

Move slowly, expect little in terms of outcomes or results. There will be some, but probably not to the extent that you might have hoped. Be satisfied with whatever you do today and don’t push yourself. Try not to think any more than necessary and certainly stay away from any analysis that might lead to big decisions. This is not the day to embark on major planning or problem-solving.

If you are able, take a little time for something that grounds and pleases you. It could be walking, cooking, reading, listening to music. Just some examples—we are suggesting you do something pleasurable without stress or much difficulty of execution. We are also suggesting that you do something you can and would do by yourself.

Time alone, no matter what it is, will be good for you today. Nurture yourself—you know how to, but many of you struggle to actually do it. Make it a priority today.

At the end of the day, you could (and hopefully will) feel a bit more whole, a little less scattered and a trifle better prepared for what lies around the bend. Take a lot of deep breaths and drink water. Herb tea would be an excellent thing to take in today as well, but be sure it is something you really enjoy drinking, that feels soothing to you.

As much as you can, treat the day like a minuscule vacation. Of course you will have plenty to do. Do what needs to be done, but keep your focus on going slowly and tending to yourself. It may help to know that even if you utterly disregard this advice and race around trying to get things done, you are not likely to succeed very well.

And in the end you will have simply missed an opportunity to bolster yourself and your soul.

So please, be gentle with yourself, and by extension, those with whom you come in contact. And honor the very difficult work you do each day on this planet, Terra, by taking as much of a day away from it all as you can. Everyone needs a break, and today is a good one to take.

We love you and send many blessings.

…..News

As you know, I sold the beloved house that Margi and I owned.

I did this in order to financially continue THIS PERMANENTLY HACKED WEBSITE, and to found my movement to

1) free us from the jews and

2) expose and defeat our greatest curse, not the jews but our own egoic insanity that causes infighting, shirking, and defeatism.

Why are we “doomed” when Whites are outraged and have NINE HUNDRED MILLION GUNS, and many active-duty military and  veterans are disgusted beyond words!

Well, I have to be out by the end of this month of May, in two weeks.

I and David Scott von Braun, who is extremely practical and handy WITH ROOFING, CARPENTRY, ELECTRICAL, AUTOMOTIVE, PLUMBING, etc……

…..are now “rehabbing” (rehabilitating/restoring) a nice, but very old house in Ontonagon from the 1890s, once the village schoolhouse, which was bought very cheaply.

It was slated for demolition, and it will take $10,000 to restore.

(The neighbors are all ecstatic that it is not being torn down; the eyesore will become beautiful again! This whole county is full of houses that need rehabbing for the many Whites moving HERE from the negro-destroyed cities!)

An apartment is out of the question. Both David and I know all too well how the FBI can get people like us thrown out of apartments. In 2014 Margi and I had to move four times between January and September in Apollo, Pennsylvania.

Unfortunately it has mold due to a leaky roof — and the roof, the mold and other problems must be urgently addressed. So we may have to move to an apartment for a month. (No roof repairs could be done during the long snow season, which just ended here in the UP of Michigan.)

I did get a bit sick from the mold, despite a mask, and was in bed for two days, so David will be handling the rehab from now on while I focus on my RACIAL mission and provide the financing, with NO money held in any bank.

You want it, jews, molon labe!

BUT YOUR DONATIONS ARE VERY APPRECIATED.

Today we redo the roof! Then the porch!

…..Anti-mold advice

A comrade who has de-molded houses in very damp, rainy Ireland, and in Sweden, Italy and France wrote me:

***

1. Stop leaky roof
2. Rip out all water-damaged material and any fabrics like carpets, bedding, curtains
3. Bring in industrial space heaters and turn the house into a kiln.
Please make sure the electric heaters don’t draw more power than you have with the generator (a quiet one that cost $819).
Stay in house when drying as fire hazard. Heat house to like over 100 degrees.
4. Remove all damaged plaster and any insulation with mould
5. Air out house
6. Walls with ripped out plaster staple building paper to studs.
Make tight, and then unseen mould and spores remaining in walls won’t go through the paper.
7. Nail up tongue and groove 3/4 X 6, but use wooden boards instead of plaster
The less paint, the less chance mould growth and buy expensive, organic German paint so the fumes will not be toxic
8. Tape off all rooms you are working on. Retape when you stop work and don’t use room
9. Choose the best bedroom. Cover all vents. Leave window slightly ajar permanently
Tape off room from inside when you are sleeping in it
10. After house “cooked with space heaters” bring in dehumidifiers. Run them until you’re not drawing much water
11. Buy two Blue Air-brand carbon filter air purifiers. I need your room measurements…One for your bedroom, one for open living area, and run as needed
12. If you need to paint use all natural organic paint made from natural products no Voc
Use natural anti-fungal paint they sell with natural fungicide/ herbicide. These are special INTERIOR paints, not exterior paints which use toxic fungicides.

13. Bleach water wash all surfaces: One part bleach, 10 parts water, on all floors, vents, walls, etc
14. Seal any vents going into wall and not directly outside, ones where you can see light

Straight bleach, John, not perfume bleach

Your bedroom should be taped shut all day from outside while you work on your site.
When you sleep, tape it up again from inside and use the air purifier while U sleep

I’ll send links to paint and machines after.

I can’t access the American Blue Air site… but their purifiers are half-price now and much cheaper than I recall.-

You need a small smokestop filter with active carbon/charcoal for your bedroom.

A 4 series and a large 6 or 7 series one with the active carbon filter, typically called smokestop for your living area

It is the single most effective thing you can use.

More than anything else especially until you get the house fully sorted out.

It’s not just any old purifier.

Don’t let the term “purifier” trick you as most are bs. This, though, is good. This is highly specific.

Only one that works with mould, vocs from building materials, as well as the typical dust and airborne stuff most will exude.

At least get the little one for your bedroom. The company is Blue Air, and I swear by it.

Hope all that info helps

Again, I wouldn’t paint with store-ought industrial paint or varnishes, especially. Get natural paint from Germany. They should sell it in the States. They have anti-fungal natural paint made with chalk for white or magnolia coloured walls. It’s  so natural you can eat it without harming yourself, Evenr Margi would approve. 😉

There’s a few brands… It’s typically from Germany

And the purifier, again, is called Blue Air, the Smokestop line, the 4 series for the smaller rooms. It will suck up all mould and spores in a small closed room in ten minutes and then any new spores won’t last long as it breathes faster and heavier than you do so it gets the spores first.

Tape up the room, though, so it doesn’t draw airborne material from under and around your closed door. Keep the window cracked when you aren’t there, and at night just run the Blue Air.

Again, tape doors shut before sleep. You can reuse the tape you apply at least five times, and Dollar Store tape is no problem. Packing tape like two to three inches wide…. even masking tape, if U are worried about pulling paint off doors or frames.

Remove old, musty carpets from living or bedrooms and then wet-bleach wash the entire rooms.

New curtains and bedding…

All fresh…

You will have no mould….

Don’t sleep in a room, though, with plaster removed as there can be lots of mould in walls and insulation.

Plus fibreglass fibres are much worse than mould!

Hope all that helps, John.

….The jewish Western governments claims to care about climate change, health, safety, children, and the polluted environment

But the jews like war even more, especially against Russia. Russian missile lands on a Ukrainian target, and another NATO asset is VAPORIZED. Who will breathe these particles and filthy air? The people!

This was a Ukrainian NATO weapons installation with millions in weapons in there. The incredible explosion is from the weapons themselves, not the missile, which lit a tinder box.

  1. Thanks for the info on Stephen Hanks. His work is brilliant almost like a photo. I like the Dutch masters from the Golden Age. 1.5 million paintings in a short period of time. Holbein’s are exquisite with hidden meanings. Holland, what a beautiful country with a rich history of struggle, trade, global navigation, and fantastic medieval architecture and sea views.

Their battle against the sea to reclaim the land….. a beautiful country that sent its people to America.

Place names like Harlem, New Amsterdam.

Then some nasty bastards let in the gimmegrants, the blacks, Muslims and asiatics, turning it into the shit holes they couldn’t escape from quick enough. Who did it?
